Congratulations @AhsanTX on such a good news!!!! Hope everything moves quickly and smoothly.

Sorry davis, I don't understand your question. If I understand correctly, your PD is December 5th, 2017. I am not waiting for interview overseas, I applied for Adjustment of Status inside the country, I will not be going through Consular Processing. Congratulations on how advanced is your process. Are you going through Consular Process? Is your case completed at National Visa Center (NVC)?

We used the Chart A to file our cases, we are waiting both Chart B and each local office Processing Times, to keep in mind the time it might take. Good luck!

You understand it correct except my PD is December 5th, 2016 not 2017 , and yes I am doing consular processing and I finished all doc and they put me on  the line for interview but they said they will not schedule it until there is a  visa available so my question is which table in the visa bulltein I should look at ? Chart A or B and I know AOS is different but the date you should receive green card or interview should be almost the same

Congratssssss @AhsanTX !!!! so happy for you.

@davis-usa You need to look at Chart A. Actually the process for AOS and getting the green card is a bit different for us. Once you go though consular processing and get approved, you'll have your green card stamped right away. We have to wait for our interviews, get approval and then green cards come in the mail and thats if our cases havent been sent to nvc by mistake. *rolls eyes* the timeline should be the same but its not necessarily especially if you're at a slow/fast embassy/ local office , all of that makes a difference.

That's why you see alot of people saying "well my friend and I applied at the same time and they got their green card already and i'm still waiting"

Sorry to confuse you, actually my PD is Dec 19, 2016. I don't know why I wrote 2017. And we filed using chart B, not A. I replied quickly while walking, sorry about the confusion.

As Bfree3 said, you should check Chart A, and the process is very, very different for us. For Dec 5th, I think you can expect it to move in December 2018 or January 2019. Your interview could be in January or February. All of this is guessing, but if you have a "Case Complete" status at the NVC Ceac, that should be helpful when the Visa Bulletin moves enough for your case, and of course, call in case the Visa Bulletin is due to move and you have no interview yet, don't be afraid to call several days. Right now, all you can do is wait, and you will probably spend next spring with your family :) Good Luck!

Just giving a quick update. My case didn't change and is still on "Fingerprint Review was completed" but I am not expecting for that change anytime soon.

I have been enjoying my time off since I resigned end of June. I travelled and I started to play golf, so I am practicing a lot. The time goes by quite fast for me but I only have been "on vacation" since a month, so that is probably why I am not too bored or driving myself crazy but really enjoying the time off.

I finally got my job offers today as well and will give my official response to one of the offers on Monday. I already put in a request for the work permit to be expedited today. I am curious how this process will go. I will keep you guys updated.

How did you formulate the request for expedited work permit and what documents did you send in?

Congratulations on the job offer!

And oddly, I feel happy that you resigned from the place you worked, I know you wanted other prospects. Wow xD your 'vacation' activities sound very good xD

I am very happy for you. Be careful on the wording, if you are going to send a cover letter to USCIS with a copy of ypur job offer, try tp say 'financial loss' rather than hardship, hardship is associated with bad times, additional expenses, loans or something like that, financial loss is related to income that could be loss because the form is still pending, such as a job offer, a company in hardship because your form is still not approved, etc. Good luck, I am sure your EAD will be approved very soon, and I wish for your approval and everything to be processed smoothly and fast.

I had to call them. It took me 20 mins to find out which options to choose haha. You go to the option where they tell you what the status on your i-765 is and then afterwards they give you more options where you pick to speak to a customer service rep because "there is a problem". He'll ask you some formal questions and at the end he asks you what else he can help you with. I said that I would like to have my EAD expedited and then he asked for the reason and I said "severe financial loss". He put in the request and explained how it is going to move forward. So far i have not sent anything in. I know that I will be sending a cover letter, the job offer and proof that I no longer work for my former company. I'll have to check tomorrow what else I have.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I think nobody ever heard my saying that I had even one good day at my previous job and I was there for almost 2 years. Probably another reason why I am enjoying my time off so much. lol At work I would check visajourney and anything related to the visa process daily for hours because I couldn't wait to get out of that place. Now I am only checking everything occasionally.

Haha yeah, but I really take my time with everything. In the morning I always have a looooong breakfast, so it takes some time to get the day started for me. xD

Thank you for the advise. I used the word hardship because I forgot what the other word was while writing. But I will remember this when I draft my cover letter. I found a template in one of the other topics and will use that to start off.

I am so glad that your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview! I hope mine will be ready in a couple of months as well. Crossing my fingers for everyone and I am grateful for the support system I have here.

It is going to take a while. I won't start worrying until my PD is actually current and I am actually eligible for an interview date. If it does change for you sooner, you can celebrate even more. :) But I would never compare my case with another one because all are different.

Hello guys.

Quick update I received EAD card on Saturday..

Very happy..

Now waiting..

Can anyone tell me that when they are going to give me interview notice?

All the good news. That's so quick. I would image it will take 6 months to get EAD. Did you expedite EAD processing by submit your job offer?

Have you done the medical exam yet?
