I am always hopeful but I have seen some f2a i130 cases with speedy and at times “random” approvals so 🤷🏽‍♀️.

No it’s not a requirement, it’s just that in most cases, by the time the interview rolls around it’s already approved because it’s been that long. Once your priority date is current(based on chart a) and they have all information, it is completely up to the IO and he/she can approve/deny both.

Hi guys,

Do you think it's okay for me to fly domestic with AOS pending status? My F1 status will no longer be valid starting August, and I need to travel to another state on November. Will it be okay for me to fly there or should I just take a train or bus?

I'm on F1 visa as well. Just got back from Florida and I live in Texas. I traveled with my driver license, no one asked for passport or etc. So you should be fine*) I would advise to take NOA1 and your passport as well, just in case. But I'm pretty much sure that you are gonna be fine.

Have you dropped school already? I have doubts to do that, cause my case is still on status "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received"=/

I have major concerns in trusting these timelines and processing charts. Seems like it automatically goes to the next day until someone manually goes in and resets it to the correct day. It’s so frustrating. I’m just going to stop checking it completely. How is everybody doing ? What sort of activities are you doing to keep busy ?

That's the best idea @Bfree3. Yes, the dates update automatically every day, they are supposed to be useful to have an idea of the time it could take, but mostly it is useful for them, not for us, because they use it as a kind of a shield to avoid getting inquiries.

I have been jogging some days, since the weather have allowed it, I'm afraid that won't be the case for the whole year where we live. I have been cooking, and sending my wife with homemade meals whenever possible, and now I have tried baking a little xD, homemade bread, banana bread and french roll, with whole wheat flour. And we have a trip planned to Niagara Falls, it helps to think and find possible activities for that. And some reading and series-watching, but the last one is a little tiring after a while. I have applied to a few job that have find very interesting to me, just in case, not to let theose opportunities slide, and thinking in case the business liked me, I could always use a job offer to try and expedite.

Besides that, it has been the small things that have helped with avoid feeling despair, for example, it has been helpful that some Feb and March EAD's have been approved, even if those were for USC spouses.

How is everybody else? What have been your favorite activities, and what new have you tried while waiting?

I think I’ll try a banana bread today.

Recently we bought some used bikes on offerup. So we go riding together. It’s so nice and peaceful.

Lots and lots and lots of reading.

watching movies

looking forward to different events and family visits things to help keep the days going.

i like going to thrift shops looking for good books

sometimes sit out by the pool

I cook and clean a lot as well

Now that I have my anxiety and worries at an all time low I’m just really trying to relax mostly and enjoy this very long vacation because I know I’ll be rearing to go once the EAD is in hand.

Awesome!!!

I wanted to buy a $30 bike on a thrift shop, but we have little space, so I decided it was better, and also it was a little bit rusty, and I wanted to take it as a project, but I also didn't want to take on such expenses right now.

We have also visited the village pool, and rented a lot of recent movies for free from our local library, (but also not so recent), I clean and cook as well, with my father in law we worked a bit on my wife's car. We also visit a lot of the state parks, I bought a State Parks pass as a gift to my wife so we visited the parks and beaches in the area, and we have been using it plenty.

I also wanted to write a little, but I have read a lot, but wrote very little, I should do that still 😅(Oh, nice, new emojis!!!), and I hope to volunteer in an cat shelter close to my wife's work,  I have been hoping to do that for months, but I keep saying "yeah, I'll come around to do it eventually".

My anxiety is also at an all time low, I felt relief when my case was finally 'ready for interview' because it took way too long.

And I am very happy to see new names and new filers in this group every time I log in.

Well, I have been trying to keep myself busy however I can to avoid being disappointed following the USCIS timeline, even though I check it once everyday.

My parents are here visiting me for a while. So when I'm home I try to spend most of the time with them and my wife like talking to them, watching movies with them and going out places etc.

Besides I've been working as an electrical engineer since I had EAD after my graduation. So overall my time is going fast.

I have just check the mail (physical mail) and there they were, 3 USCIS's Notice of Action Letters, each with the same Receipt No. as the emails.

I also noticed that in the information supplied, USCIS has assigned me an A-number. Which always asks on the forms, but I didn't have, or I didn't know I had. Also, the I-485 was apparently linked correctly to my I-130, since it shows my PD date as Dec 19th, 2016. And correctly places me under F2A.

Now my waiting begins. Good luck to all!!!

Hi , my priority date almost same as you expect is the 5th .my category is F2A did you get your green card ? I am waiting for interview to be scheduled overseas and I am wondering which chart they are using for our category

Sorry davis, I don't understand your question. If I understand correctly, your PD is December 5th, 2017. I am not waiting for interview overseas, I applied for Adjustment of Status inside the country, I will not be going through Consular Processing. Congratulations on how advanced is your process. Are you going through Consular Process? Is your case completed at National Visa Center (NVC)?

We used the Chart A to file our cases, we are waiting both Chart B and each local office Processing Times, to keep in mind the time it might take. Good luck!
