Hi guys,

Today my case got updated to "Case is Ready for Interview" and stuff, so good news :dance::dance:

I don't know if I told you guys, but after the InfoPass I sent a Police Clearance certificate from my country, since I asked the IO and he told me that could be helpful, and it should have arrived on Monday. (Thanks @Bfree3 for the idea, even though you were answering Holly-ando: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/665642-f2a-2018-aos-filers/?do=findComment&comment=9232762)

So, I'll just wait for everything to run its course again, because I did felt that my case was getting outside of the processing time.

Lesson learned from that: If your case has more than 75 business days pending without it getting an update from Fingerprints, try to do something to shake the tree, make an InfoPass, send an additional document, something, or ask for help in this forum :help:even to get a few words of support. I do think that there is a connection between this update and the fact that I sent additional documentation and made an InfoPass on the previous days.

*Non-Immigration related update: The laptop magically fixed itself, summer is still packed with people visiting and activities, my parents are the next ones, so first my father-in-law, and now my wife's in-laws, we have here a summer-in-law.

Dec 19, 2016: F2A I-130 Priority Date

AOS with pending I-130 (F2A):

March 2, 2018: AOS Package PD (I-485, EAD, AP)

March 14, 2018: NOA1  / E-Notification // Physical Mail: March 20, 2018

March 17, 2018: Biometric Appt Notice received //  Appointment: April 6th

March 29 RFIE // April 11 USCIS received RFIE response

May 10, 2018: I-130 Approved  :D *But case sent to NVC*

July 11: INFOPASS Appt + Sent Additional Documents

July 20: Case Ready for Interview (Finally!)

August 14: Card being produced //  August 22: Combo Card in hand

congrats and enjoy your 'summer in law' :)

what's the next step after "Case is Ready for Interview"? I've been this status for couple of months. I know I did not submit I693 medical exam and my I131 is forever pending, so I assume we cannot do anything before CSC approved our 131?  (The case inquiry date fallback to October 10, 2016. Ahhhh....)  even F2A current date(7/22/2016) from Form A will catch up the CSC I131 processing date. I was wondering if form A become current and I131 is still pending, what we should do?

Hi markx,

I guess you mean I-130, since I-131 is Advance Parole. I don't know your whole situation, for example in my case I want to visit a specialist before doing the medical examination. However, if your PD is before May 2017, I would do the medical and send a copy of your copy (remember the original must be kept sealed.). To send it you must find out where is your case, if at NBC, or already at the local office. I dont know if that would be helpful or not, but at least you would be doing something.

Why May 2017? To avoid the medical expiring before the PD is current, (making the assumption the pace will be the same, or even get delayed 1 month).

Thanks Tenreyro,

My PD for I-130 is Jan 9th 2017. how do you know look up where is the case? It was showing at NBC at the I797 Notice of Action. I didn't see it's been transfer to local office.

Sorry for my ignorance, a little bit confused When you said visit a specialist, does it mean make a INFOPASS appointment? I thought we can only make infopass appointment only PD is before case inquiry date. In my case the case inquire date is  October 10, 2016 for CSC office and I have to wait almost 3months to send an inquire as I would image?

Your PD seems appropriate for a Medical. If you feel is the right thing, then go for it, check for the average processing time for your local office just in case.

The 797C let's you know where it was received. I would call and let them know I have to send something additional, and would like to know where is the case. Or send it both NBC and your local office, to see if there is a good chance tour case would be complete before the medical expires.

No, by a specialist I don't mean an Infopass, I mean a doctor with a specific area of knowledge. And yes, you can schedule an Infopass at any given time for a filed case or even without a filed case, however, almost no one can open a Case Inquiry before the date they give, so don't expect to open one or get something for your case that way. CSC has started to process I-130 for Jan 2017, wait another 60 days first. It is a process, some parts will be fast, some slow, is not a race, and you are with people that you love and that love you, it's better than being apart.

And best luck to all who are waiting for updates*)

Finally I sent the response for RFE, they received it on Wednesday, 18th of July and updated my status for "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received" on Friday, 20th of July. So, now we are just waiting for update... Hopefully, it won't take too long*)

Hello everyone! hope you guys are all doing great

and congratulations @Tenreyro for the good news ! :) i have some good news of my own too, today i received by mail, the 3 receipt notices, i received text messages days before, they seem to have got all the info right and it says that it was received by the national benefit center.

So now i guess i'm gonna wait for the biometrics to be scheduled. Unfortunately, i didn't have an updated police certificate from my country to include in the file (the one i have is almost a year old) so i guess from @Tenreyro 's experience i'm gonna have to request a new one and send it to the USCIS, let's wait and see what happens

Hi guys,

Do you think it's okay for me to fly domestic with AOS pending status? My F1 status will no longer be valid starting August, and I need to travel to another state on November. Will it be okay for me to fly there or should I just take a train or bus?

Congrats @Tenreyro on the good news!

I just came back from a 10-day Trip in California and I live in the DC area. I had no issues and no one cared.
