I am quite sure QAF2A is a "she" btw. :)

What about you Tenreyro? Today is the 20th. That was your deadline wasn't it? Are you going to call or e-mail them? Crossing my fingers for you!

Thank you @Tenreyro - we have sent a letter to change to AOS.

My status changed to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" yesterday. It feels like a step back from “Case Ready To Be Scheduled for An Interview” but at the end 1 day was really too fast. lol At least they are working on my case.

Well if you think about it on the dhs site, your case would’ve said “We received your biometrics fee and are reviewing your case” so moving on to fingerprint review was completed means they did everything they needed and you passed whatever checks they were processing. The case is still ready to be scheduled, I’m sure.

It annoys me a little that the new tracker still doesn't show an update but I a happy that my fingerprint review was completed.

Thanks for the good luck guys!

interview went very smooth. Standard questions, nothing out of the ordinary. Asked about spouse’s family, job. Showed financial papers together, went through all of our photos. And went again through all the questions in I 485.

The IO(super nice guy) said there’s no action required at this point, he’ll wait for I-130 to be mailed to him from CSC and he will act on it. My case is thus put on hold for further review. But the interview part is done. There’s should be some update within 120 days before we can raise and SR. Got a paper as well saying case is held for further review.

The IO is very familiar with our  situation,(F2A with pending I130) . So it seem to me like we all in this group did a very legit application:) Guess we could relax a bit now!

Good luck to all and wish your case go smooth.

Hello @QAF2A,

I am happy  to know that your interview went well.

May I ask you for a favor please and if it's okay with you to share what questions IO has asked to you during your interview for I-485?

Thanks so much for your help.

Hello guys :)

@QAF2A Glad to hear that your interview went well and thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I was going to send the AOS package last week but the new visa bulletin came out and thank God the chart B shows Dec 2017, so i decided to review those papers and forms one more time before shipping them lol

I was wondering about something though, do you guys think that the handling of the case may be related to the nature of the visa of the applicant ?? I remember @QAF2A mentioned they were on a work visa, i'm just wondering if there would be an extra hustle for people on tourist visas, of course we all had very good reasons to apply, i don't know just thinking this too much perhaps, @Tenreyro @Bfree3 any thoughts??

Not necessarily so but you can never really tell. Everything we did, was perfectly legal and within the regulations so I honestly wouldn’t stress about it.

Hi guys,

June has been a month full of things happening. And right now our laptop is not connecting to our network, so all that has kept me a little away from writing in the forum.

I just wanted to update you guys, I did call after the date I had set. They were not very useful, but they did tell me my biometrics check was completed, but could not let me know about the security check, since "they can't provide that info over the phone".

Yesterday I set an Infopass appointment in July, I'll let you guys know when I get there. I plan on asking about the status of the I-485, EAD and AP. See if the security check is done, if not, I have a letter of no police records issued this week from my country's authorities. I plan to ask them also if I can get my medical done and bring them to an Infopass before the interview, and finally, try to get an estimate of completion of all the forms.

I am making a list of the paperwork and questions. If any of you have a question, please share it, I might have the same question and I might had forgotten about. :)

Hope everyone is doing fine, and enjoy the summer!

Thanks @Tenreyro for the update.

It will be very helpful for us to know the list of questions that IO may ask. Please share with us as time permits you.

I had a word with my attorney on filing of I-485 and I am working with them. I will update once I file my I-485 + EAD + AP.

If may I know, when is your I-485 Interview is schedule for? Should a person go with their spouse for interview?

Thanks,

Vg

I also have an update which affects my current status. I resigned from my job and from July 1st my status will change to "pending i-485". I am a little scared but I know that I am not alone.

@Tenreyro I am looking forwrad to your appointment. I would be interested in the medical docs as well.

Thank you!

Don’t be afraid. Nothing to be afraid of. You are definitely not alone. we all put our packages in within the correct filing time and they have been accepted and are moving along in the process steadily. No worries.

Yes, VG31, as far as I understand, you must go with you spouse. About the appointment, I think you misunderstood, it's not an interview, I was the one who set it, and I am the one with the questions for the IO, I listed my questions in the form of a paragraph. I am encouraging if anyone else has any other questions, to share, I might include it and ask it at USCIS' Good Luck filing!

Thanks! I'll let you know. I get that. Soon it will be 2 months for me being 'pending I-485' status.

As Bfree3 said, you are not alone, and we are here for you. Life's too strange and precious to live worried and stressed.

Thanks to all of you guys for your shared information. It really helped me a lot step by step.

Special thanks to @Bfree3 and @Tenreyro for prompt response to my questions.

Hope everything goes well for all of us.
