Hi all,

I was away for sometime because I went to my trip after all. I see we have lots of wonderful discussions going on here in this thread! Congrats everyone with their progress!

My interview is next week so we have to fly back home briefly during the trip to prepare for it(And then hopefully fly to CA to continue our trip).

I understood as previously people have mentioned that there are problems with the officer not having the I-130 ready, and have to get rescheduled. So this is our tactic below, so that hopefully it can save us some trouble. We are going to bring every original document, IDs passports for the photocopies we've ever sent, we are going to bring a photo album of our photos together. For the forms(I130/I131/I765/I485), we are just going to reprint everything to bring as back up and hopefully it will help.

Dear friends, it's been exactly 500 days since we sent the I-130 and more than 100 days since the I-485 package. Let's hope it all works out.

And if you have any suggestions for the interview package, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

@QAF2A All the best of luck, I hope your IO approves everything on the spot (pending everything else) but I really hope your thorough documentation helps you and that you would be able to complete everything now and not wait for a rescheduled interview after I-130 approval.

Good Luck, hope everything goes well, smooth and quickly. :)

Hey Bfree3 when you are expecting your EAD card?

Because as per my knowledge it takes 12 to 16 weeks to process?

Realistically it’s only been about 3 months. The national benefits center has a timeline for the EAD being at anywhere from 4 to 6 months and cases open to inquiry are from December 28,2017. I’m really trying to not to focus on this everyday. It really started to be a very bad habit and I want my anxiety under control. @Bhumi

Praying for you @QAF2A ... you got this!

Thanks for the good luck guys!

interview went very smooth. Standard questions, nothing out of the ordinary. Asked about spouse’s family, job. Showed financial papers together, went through all of our photos. And went again through all the questions in I 485.

The IO(super nice guy) said there’s no action required at this point, he’ll wait for I-130 to be mailed to him from CSC and he will act on it. My case is thus put on hold for further review. But the interview part is done. There’s should be some update within 120 days before we can raise and SR. Got a paper as well saying case is held for further review.

The IO is very familiar with our  situation,(F2A with pending I130) . So it seem to me like we all in this group did a very legit application:) Guess we could relax a bit now!

Good luck to all and wish your case go smooth.

@QAF2A glad to hear that your interview went well. I knew it would.

Additionally this tells me that the IO can in fact approve your case once he gets your i130 from CSC. @Tenreyro what are your thoughts?

Hi guys, June have been a very eventful month so far (Good events, Wife's Bday, Visitors from abroad, good things thankfully). But I have not abandoned the forum. I am very proud of how you all have been helping new people (specially you two @Bfree3 and @thepanda) and keeping each other updated, I have taken a few minutes each day to check on what has been written. I just logged in twice, first to avoid GiselaMargareta from starting NVC process (if she wanted to continue through NBC), and second, to wish the best of luck to @QAF2A

@QAF2A CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!

I know, I know you still have 2 things to wait for, I-130, and PD becoming current, but I am incredibly happy, you can basically approved, I-130 is a formality at this point. Congratulations!!! :jest::jest::jest::jest::jest::jest:

And for anyone still with any kind of doubt, here you have it!!! :) Your case gives me strength, and eases the anxiety of waiting.

My thoughts on that is that he is basically approved for I-485, pending on the approval of the pending I-130 and the PD becoming current. I-485 includes the security checks and everything else, which is stronger than I-130. The formal approval is likely to be either when the I-130 is approved and received by the IO, or when the PD becomes current. If received before the PD, it could be approved, but then the card would go in production when the PD becomes current (I guess).

I am quite sure QAF2A is a "she" btw. :)

What about you Tenreyro? Today is the 20th. That was your deadline wasn't it? Are you going to call or e-mail them? Crossing my fingers for you!

Yes, @thepanda, today was my deadline, because markx's "Ready to be scheduled for Interview" took 46 business days. But now, when LadybirdApple updated us, it took 72 business days in her case, so, that changes the data and the date. If I hadn't had an update I was going to schedule an Infopass, but I will call nevertheless, today or tomorrow. I'll let you guys know

Sorry! I wrote 'he' kind of in a hurry, I was fighting the eyes that were asking to get some sleep, and took a minute to congratulate QAF2A, and all of you for the help you have been providing on new people. On February I was lost looking for some guidance on this forum, and all I found was harsh comments and biased opinions. I decided to share what I found, and why I had believed it was possible for to send AOS on the then upcoming Visa Bulletin (March 2018), and I first found QAF2A also looking for answers, and with some healthy debating, all of you joined later. I am very happy of seeing that their interview was that good, and that the case is basically approved, I am very very happy for you @QAF2A :):):):):)

Guys, I need some help with the following :

1. Do I need to submit police records while filing AOS? I didn't have any incidents before. If I need to submit one, how do I get it ?

2. How much does it cost (approximate) for the medical exam? I talked to one of the listed doctor, they are asking $400 for it (without any vaccination, that would be extra).

Thanks.

It’s not necessary but I did it because my husband did it when he was applying and I decided to follow suit. However, my police record is from the Bahamas not from US. If you haven’t done anything then you don’t need to send one but if you want to Contact your local nearest police station and find out about it. I have never done anything either so of course my record was blank and it costed me about $3.00.

I called led a couple places and it went anywhere from $300 and up. $300 being for the physical exam and any shots and blood work were extra. Some offices included the necessary shots in the price but all were around the same price range you have. Which is exactly why we said if you can afford to do the medical then go ahead. No one should have to pay that fee more than once. That’s ridiculous.

I didn’t send any personal photos with the 485 only with the i130 (which is probably why the IO will need it at time of interview)
