Wow, congratulations!!!! Was it onlinr or  letter? And also, I always thought the 10-30 months started when you sent the I-485 form, since that s your AOS PD

I also received the courtesy letter for the medical to bring it to the interview. My wife and I were out of state a few days, we found it on the mail, it was dated April 16th.

Hi @Aj06

Not sure about for the biometrics but I sent all of those with my AOS package. My husbands job letter, w-2 and most recent tax transcript.Maybe they got an RFE for you guys.

Hi @bfree3,those documents were required for RFE for affidavit of support.Did you received your case approval? I saw December filers started to get theirs.

Sounds like a RFE for Affidavit of Support, try to send the required information as complete as possible, and within the time, remember the timeframe is not for you to send, is for them to receive, if is X days, they require to be in their hands before the time given ends. You most likely will need to send Pay Stubs from your spouse's job payments if possible for 3 months. And 3 years of filed taxes. If the secretary read the letter and told you everything, that should be it.

Remember to translate any document in foreign language, and send copies (unless they request the original). And to follow any other instruction, the letter might to send the original letter or to send a copy of it, either way keep a copy for your records. And, in my opinion, you shouldn't send it without tracking number :)

If you want to keep an eye on the things for your case, you should create an account at: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ so you can know before your lawyer calls you.

Hi @Tenreyro,yes it was a RFE for affidavit of support. Did you received your case approval? I saw early December filers started to get theirs.

My I-130 is still pending, some early December received theirs, but they seem to have concentrated their efforts on finishing up November applications.

My PD is Dec 19, I think it will take a while until they reach it. I hope to get approval on May, but it is possible for it to be in June.

Hi guys,

Is it really important that we receive our I-130 approval in a timely manner? Would it affect anything?

Another thought is, would the legal stay provides by I-485 pending status be affected which I-130 is not approved yet? If we are out of status now, while I-485 pending and I-130 pending, would it affect the final result of I-485?

No. The I-130 can be pending up to the time of the interview, and can even be approved together with the I-485. Authorized stay is provided because you filed I-485, the form I-130 does not have anything to do with it, but if denied, it would mean you have no basis for your AOS package, and those forms would probably be denied soon after.

Same answer, no. The authorized stay is valid as long as your I-485 is pending, the I-130 has nothing to do on that. I think that Aj06 asked about the I-130 because there has been some movement in Dec 2016, and I am a December 2016 filer.

Don't worry, everything will be fine :)

By the way, about your update, did you get the information that your case was ready for interview Online or on a Letter??
