Oh that's some great news! at least someone in a similar situation :)

May i know when did u enter and when did apply please ??

I am also on B1/B2. I entered in November to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with my wife, in the middle of a snowstorm, she woke up sick, barely breathing. Long story short, I took her to the doctor, and later cancelled my flight. In the blink of an eye, it was February and the opportunity appeared, when they published March VB, and we took the chance. We applied in March.

Dec 19, 2016: F2A I-130 Priority Date

AOS with pending I-130 (F2A):

March 2, 2018: AOS Package PD (I-485, EAD, AP)

March 17, 2018: Biometric Appt Notice received //  Appointment: April 6th

March 29 RFIE // April 11 USCIS received RFIE response

May 10, 2018: I-130 Approved  :D *But case sent to NVC*

July 11: INFOPASS Appt + Sent Additional Documents

July 20: Case Ready for Interview (Finally!)

August 14: Card being produced //  August 22: Combo Card in hand

Yes, it was a respiratory infection, she was in recovery for a week at home. I'm glad I was here to take care of her. I think I would have taken the first plane here if it had happened with me abroad.

I bet. Glad she’s all good now sounds like it was really rough. I rarely get sick, I don’t know how my husband would manage.

Ok, so I took the time to read through all 10 pages. :) I did skipped a few posts in the last 3 pages but I want to say congrats to everyone who submitted their AOS package while i-130 pending AND for being accepted. This makes me really happy reading all these stories.

I could have applied end of February with @Tenreyro but due to personal circumstances I postponed it to last week! I sent my papers on Friday via FedEx. I was really nervous because these papers are so important. i checked them so many times! Thanks to @Tenreyro again for that initial thread we had where you guys prepared the cover letter. :) That helped me a lot and saved me so much time at the end. I came back from overseas on Saturday and my goal was to send out the papers by Friday. Thank god I prepared most of the paperwork the past month.

My paperwork should arrive on Monday since I paid a little extra for them to arrive asap. I already lost a month, so I didn't want to lose another day. But no regrets! I was able to see my good friends before applying for AOS because now I won't be able to go home for a while.

FYI for everyone who is on an E-2 Visa or whose spouse is on an E2-Visa: Do not forget Form I-508 ! The waiver for privileges etc.

Have a great evening everyone! I am hoping to receive a text message in about 10 - 14 days.

Wow Congratulations!!! I'm so glad you were able to send it!

You should get the E-Notifications around April 27th to 30th, those days are around a weekend, I hope it does not change anything for the E-notification.

Good Luck! Welcome to the waiting game xD

Hi guys, hope everyone is having a wonderfully blessed Monday. Got my fingerprint appointment out of the way today, feeling great. I’ll check status tomorrow for any changes. @Tenreyro @QAF2A thanks for the well wishes. I was informed that I HAVE TO use my drivers license(not US)  as identification since it has my married name. I got lost on the way to the center 😩😭😬

@QAF2A and  @BenSherry have your cases been updated to say anything about the Biometrics? I have seen several non-F2A cases getting updated to something like "Biometrics received" just a few days after Biometrics, but mine just tells me they received the RFEI, it has not said anything about Biometrics, I wanted to know if it just happened to me.

Good Luck Bfree3 on your appointment on Monday!

I haven't seen any update yet. It make take a few weeks. Be patient and enjoy life.

Hi guys,my spouse was asked to submit job letter, bank statement and past tax documents by our attorney through his secretary, since he is at some seminar. Are these docs' required for biometrics?

Sounds like a RFE for Affidavit of Support, try to send the required information as complete as possible, and within the time, remember the timeframe is not for you to send, is for them to receive, if is X days, they require to be in their hands before the time given ends. You most likely will need to send Pay Stubs from your spouse's job payments if possible for 3 months. And 3 years of filed taxes. If the secretary read the letter and told you everything, that should be it.

Remember to translate any document in foreign language, and send copies (unless they request the original). And to follow any other instruction, the letter might to send the original letter or to send a copy of it, either way keep a copy for your records. And, in my opinion, you shouldn't send it without tracking number :)

If you want to keep an eye on the things for your case, you should create an account at: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ so you can know before your lawyer calls you.
