Hello Everyone,

Did you guys also sent the medical report along with your AOS Package?

Thanks,

VG

if you read the first pages of the thread you'll read that most members didn't, they will wait till their interview, only one person did send it and it was because it's included in his insurance. I'm planning on sending my package next week and i won't be sending it either, hope this will help :) @VG31

My apologies, thank you for letting me know about this. My attorney said you will receive an RFE for this later to provide Medical records and that's the reason I was just confirming with you all.

Hello guys!

i'm sorry i haven't been so active since my first post, but after the lawyer suggested we wait the 90 days then we file, we just had to wait and keep praying the chart keeps moving forward. we may have to file next week if the visa bulletin retrogressed next month (really hope it doesn't! fingers crossed) I have been following all the posts in the thread though, and i would just like to say thank you to @Tenreyro & @Bfree3 and all the rest for their constant help! you are amazing guys :)

I also read all the input shared about hiring a lawyer or not, and in light of that, we decided not to hire him anymore and just do it ourselves, considering the guy didn't even know about chart B until i told him about it :S !

One last quick question, for the cover letter, i'm confused so i wrote two : one signed by the petitioner and the other signed by the applicant, do you guys think that's too much??? or should i just send one, in that case which one?? Also wanted to know how did you guys organize the package, i'm thinking of putting three envelopes, each with the its title printed on it and the cover letters outside maybe along with the check, any ideas???

I'm sorry about the long post i'm just so nervous, initially because i'm not gonna be following the 90 days rule (by Monday i'm gonna b at day 79) and also because i view this as a huge step, staying here out of status and hoping the EAD will come sooner so at least i can have a driving license!

That's why i love this thread, a great source for support and inspiration, a place where you know you're not alone, almost like a family :)

So thank you guys again.

Hi, @Holly-andono worries.

I personally don't think you need two cover sheets. It may make things more confusing. We would love to think that all of our organization and hard work on our petitions is "oohed and aahed" over once it gets on someone's desk but they end up being torn apart and the folders and stuff being thrown away then the documents shipped off to their respective departments.

I want you to keep in mind that for the i130, i had my husband (the petitioner) sign the cover page but since I am the applicant for the i485 i thought it best, I sign. If you are so adamant about both you and your husband signing, I think you should do 1 (one) cover sheet signed by the both of you - I initially did this but said to myself everything is applying to me so went the other route but please feel free to do it.

I organized my package much like you did WITHOUT the additional envelopes(this is not encouraged) if you want those items to be separated then do so by using paper clips or fasteners not envelopes. I went with paperclips I highlighted the front form numbers (like i485 highlighted orange, i864 highlighted blue..etc) so they knew which was which quickly.    [ I saw a thread once that said they are able to go through your package faster that way with the paperclips so thats what I did.]

Also to soothe your worries, I was here maybe 15 days and filed lol so way less than you - join me in this boat lol.

@VG31  and @Holly-ando  If you can afford to do the medical, do it and send it along( we had a theory going - we felt that persons who included the medical got their interviews sooner, read a little more through the thread) If you can't afford to do it, no worries either, they do not send you an RFE for it. They send you a letter saying that they noticed the medical wasn't attached and just ask that you bring it with you to your interview.

So the choice is yours.

Yea I don’t want you to feel like you’re doing something wrong by not sending it with the package. An rfe is a request for evidence and can slow down processing. As I said before, I think attaching the medical makes them feel as though your package is “complete” so to speak.

Hello everyone,

I just got some update for I-485 case that the status changed to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" tonight, I received 6 same text messages from USCIS saying check "My Cases Status" at www.uscis.gov..... well I guess it could take a while for the interview be scheduled.

My question is go back to the status are totally different from two website...

at www.uscis.gov

I-485 is Ready to be schedule for an Interview

I-131 is Case was received

I-765 is Case was received

at https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant, the one you need to enter secure one-time password every time you log in:

I-485 is We reviewed your biometrics and are still processing your case

I-131 is We approved your case

I-765 is We approved your case

So totally confused because I did receive the approval letter in the mail last Friday for I-131 and I-765, however, there is no update for card send to production right away like all other ppl posted with their experience. When I call the customer service, they said once the case is approved, they cannot put any request on it but just wait...I'm urge to have the card so I can book the travel for family emergency.... just wondering if anyone notice the two website behave different for their cases. I'm kind of worry that the system is not sync or some wrong cause the delay of card production...

The two sites show up differently for the majority of people. Right now one tells me about the fingerprints other is saying ready  to be scheduled for interview. Are you signed up for  “informed delivery mail” ? This may help if you aren’t already, you can see exactly which day you’ll be getting anything from uscis.

Thank you for the update. I am glad to see that both of your trackers also have different statuses. The newer also isn't updated for me.

I am sure you will receive it by next week. I am crossing my fingers for you that you'll receive as soon as possible.

We are sending a letter now to let them know we are changing from consular to AOS. Thank you for all your advise.

Thank you @thepandaand @Bfree3 for your reply and warm wish!

I did subscribe the USPS service so I can see what letter will be delivery every day, and if I see any letter from USCIS, I'm planning to stay at home just in case they need signature to deliver the document.

I haven't get any update for card in production yet, I called the customer service today again and she was nice to put in a request for me as reminder for NBC to move the case for card production, but we don't know how long it will be processed yet.

I also checked the I-485 status change for Ready to schedule interview, and she said I should be expecting the interview schedule in 30 days, so as the case status was updated on 6/13/2018, if I didn't receive letter/notice for the interview schedule, I should definitely call back. That's news for me since I assume not all the case will be scheduled until the PD become current, only few cases will be scheduled due to the local office work load. So I'll definitely call back in July to track I-485 case.

Thank you all for the reply again! will keep updated here soon

Wow this is really helpful! Thank you for sharing!!! You barely posted anything but all your posts so far were SO helpful! :D

That is very interesting that we should receive a letter in 30 days! That means I should get one by end of this month....

I have seen someone (if you look a few pages back) who actually went to the interview but was sent home just because the file didn't arrive at the office yet. But an experience officer confirmed that it is possible to have the interview this year but you wouldn't receive the green card until your PD becomes current. But let's see what is going to happen. I am very curious! Keep us updated! :) and I am still crossing my fingers!

Hi all,

I was away for sometime because I went to my trip after all. I see we have lots of wonderful discussions going on here in this thread! Congrats everyone with their progress!

My interview is next week so we have to fly back home briefly during the trip to prepare for it(And then hopefully fly to CA to continue our trip).

I understood as previously people have mentioned that there are problems with the officer not having the I-130 ready, and have to get rescheduled. So this is our tactic below, so that hopefully it can save us some trouble. We are going to bring every original document, IDs passports for the photocopies we've ever sent, we are going to bring a photo album of our photos together. For the forms(I130/I131/I765/I485), we are just going to reprint everything to bring as back up and hopefully it will help.

Dear friends, it's been exactly 500 days since we sent the I-130 and more than 100 days since the I-485 package. Let's hope it all works out.

And if you have any suggestions for the interview package, please let me know. Thanks a lot!
