Arrest case before ROC

Please I have a question. A man was so scar about his immigration problem. He is here on 2 years conditional GC and unfortunately he was arrested for embezzlement...I was asking him what happened to the case...whether there is a conviction...he said there is no...just the arrest and the case is just there nothing has been done and the time to file for his Roc is approaching...Well I told him to talk to an immigration attorney...I remember Vj and wanted to open this topic maybe someone might have a related episode.
