oh hey val! I'm fine with them protesting, but when it's done during school hours when they're supposed to be getting an (objective) education it's more about turning them into sheep to me. People pay alot of money for that time in which they're supposed to be studying. no kids on my lawn thank goodness

They learned that the folks in power are not going to do squat unless they speak up. More power to them.

Seems not all parents approve of the walk out. Seen quite a few on FB saying they were not gonna allow their kids to do it.

i'm sensing quite a bit of butt hurt over this from all our proud gun lovers. speaking of emotion.

 

   All these kids will be voting soon. Many will get to vote for the first time in 2020. Hopefully they remember those members of the electorate who wouldn't give them the time of day in 2018.

    I let my daughter decide for herself whether she would participate in this or not. You start telling a 17 year old what to think or do and you are pushing them to think or do the opposite. You are also 1 step closer to inviting them to live at home until they are 30. When people raise their kids right, they don't have to decide everything for them at this age, and they shouldn't. A 17 year old is perfectly capable of thinking for themselves on issues like this, and it's a mistake not to encourage that. I always find it odd when a parent believes their kid should grow up and think exactly like themselves.

kids protesting turns them into sheep? that's an odd take.
