There is no irony.  I know all about the gun situation in Korea, as well as service there, I used to live there.

You forget the part that the person didn’t commit a crime, and could legally buy a gun.  And you forget that a gun does no harm by itself.  Using your logic, the getaway driver should go to jail, but the bank robber should just walk away a free person.

i didn't forget, that's what i would like to avoid - people who shouldn't have access to guns who don't yet have a body count under their belt or even a criminal record. and how is that my logic? that isn't my logic at all.

i don't blame guns instead of the person pulling the trigger. that's absurd. of course that's a pro gun argument that''s often used, even when no one is advocating that we stop charging people with murder and instead just take all the guns away.

 

this is exactly why these gun control discussions are pointless.

Your line: If we have mandatory military  service we will have more gun safety and less deaths. Example : lets do it like Korea. Rebuttal: Korea is safer from gun deaths because guns are strictly restricted.  Mandatory Military service has nothing to do with  reducing gun violence.

Not the post police, but when I've said in the past that you prefer to male circular arguments and refuse to answer direct questions,  you've denied doing so.  So I figure I'd point it out when I see, to help you become a better poster.  Free of charge.

 

I'm not asking for answers I want to hear.  I'm wanting to be clear on the matter because many don't have a clue when it comes to discussing current rules and gun ownership.  Just trying to keep things accurate.  That's why I wanted to know what your arbitrary/generic use of the word "nationwide" referred to.
