Hi guys. I have some questions.

I got my Combo Card ( EAD with advance parole) last November.  And I need it to renew before 180 days of EAD expiration.

What happen if you already applied for the renewal process and then suddenly your Green card arrived, is it possible to cancel the processing and refund the renewal fee?

And how long it will takes to get your greencard?

first of all there is no fee, just like the first time, the fee was waived because you sent the i485. the case is still pending so there is no fee for renewal

if there was, they wouldn't refund the cost, and once the case is resolved and you get your case approved, the ead will be cancelled

no need for an EAD if you have a GC

First of all you don’t renew it before 180 days. You have to wait until the last 180 days before renewing. It’s free to renew. If your card comes in then you just use that instead of the EAD. Greencard is taking about a year from date of filing now.

I sent the renewal for my husband and it was returned because I didn't include the fees. I thought I didn't have to pay anything since his AOS is still pending. We sent in copies of all the the i-797 notices and a copy of his current EAD card. What should I do ?

My greencard arrived after 10months. By then, I already submitted my renewal application. I submitted my EAD when the renewal window opened. I didn't include a fee based on the instructions of the official forms for I-765. It should be free if you have a pending AOS Application.

If GC arrives while processing EAD Renewal, they will just cancel EAD Renewal with a USCIS Status of "Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means". (well, if you're lucky enough to get updates. a lot of applicants never got updates)

USCIS never refund any fees. The fees are just for them to start looking at your files. Once they cashed it and started processing your application, you can no longer get it back.
