@MsVi2 you can fill out the i-485 and i-912 and send them without having to retain an attorney. May be it's a good idea to hire one for your interview but it's possible to do it all on your own as well.

I have to file my AOS with a waiver, there is no way I am doing that on my own.  My case is a little complicated, it's why the non profit would only help with the vawa, they only help with simple and straight cases. 

Edit:  When I said waiver, I don't mean fee waiver, I mean the I-601.

Congrats on hitting one year, at least time is moving. Imagine there is someone who just filed today, they are just on step one of the journey.

 

My receipt date is January 9 2017. I still haven't heard anything about the vawa case - no RFE either. I don't know if any January filers have gotten feedback.

USCIS is messed up I guess - 

 

3 days ago I got a notification that they transferred my EAD renewal to my local office then today local office transferred it back to NBC. 

 

I think NBC messed it up, they should transfer my 485 to local instead of 765..

Hi!! You are right. Just thinking that there are people who filled today gives me a lot of calm. I think they are in December right now. I saw some December filler who said got RFEs. Hopefully you wont get one and just get approved.
