Next month it will be 14 months since I sent my vawa. No RFE so far. I filed my I485 and I765 last month. I just got the receipts and fee waived. For future fillers I didn’t send any supporting documentation for I912 I just explained that I am out of work and that’s why I couldn’t pay the fee.

Thank you

It's all you can do. The waiting game sucks. I'm sure you will definitely get good news soon.

I've passed my 12 month VAWA processing point and now starting to get a little restless. From what you all remember or experienced, have many received RFE's after the 12 month mark?

Mine took nearly 17 months for approval, only received 1 RFE around 15 months for Good Moral Character. (Just my state fingerprint background check).

@sandranj I received a text & an email (below) I didn't submit any inquiries only sent a request to extend my PF (the fifth PF is expiring soon). Is this noticification an indication of anything?

We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time

We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on April 10, 2018.

You asked to extend  the prima facie and this is the way they usually answer  the requests, stating they are still reviewing your case.

USCIS approved my EAD in December, but I have not received it yet. I have filed multiple requests online since December, but USCIS only says that they have "completed" the request but they don't say if this means that they have sent the card. Obviously, they haven't so I do not know what they mean by "completed" the request. They also said that a tracking number is not available. Why?

What can I do? 1-800 will not provide any information because this is a VAWA case.

Go to infopass and ask your congress person to inquire on your behalf.

Hi there,

First of all: I want to express my happiness about finding this forum -- Only wish I found it sooner.

Here is my info:

I entered US with my tourist visa then married my ex, since we married he got violent and very jealous. I have a pending VAWA Case (filed on 09/2017) I paid $650 to an attorney who was supposed to help me all the way through, he was not experienced in VAWA and kept asking me for money so I decided to fire him.

I had a pending i-485 prior to VAWA filing, was scheduled for interview in Miami Center in 10/23/2017 but didn't go since I was already separated with my USC husband. In January 2018, I sent letter to them to: 1. Remove my attorney 2. Requesting Prima Facie Extension. 3. Change of address. As (04/23/2018) they updated my case, says they received my correspondence. I had a lot of evidence, pictures, police & arrest records in my case. My question is, Can I file for i765 EAD while my VAWA application is pending? My prima facie expired in March 23. I am waiting to get my 2nd prima facie, any idea how long that might take?

My former i-485 has not been uodated online; only says it was scheduled for interview, does it automatically transfer into my VAWA case?

I requested legal help to multiple charities but have been denied service because my case is not urgent to them so I am trying to figure this out on my own, filed my I-485 myself and got no RFE's. Although somehow I feel I am familiar with filing all of these forms, I know VAWA cases are different.
I appreciate any advice or thoughts about my situation. Thanks.

If your AOS is still pending you can file form I-765 using categry C9 and within 90 days you should receive your work permit.Read please the I-765 instructions to  see the doccuments that you must submit along with form I-765.

Thank you Sandra... I am already divorced with my ex USC husband... Will they deny my petition if I based it off my former AOS Application?

Track times at your local field office. NBC only checks your forms for completion but will not adjudicate anything. NBC typically takes 30-45 days before sending to local field office.

Thanks for your answer. My other question is I have attorney in Miami and I come under Jacksonville. On which location does the interview takes place and USCIS treat as local office?
