Congratulations to all of you who have been approved, am so happy for you guys and i pray the God that did it for you will do it for us who are still waiting.

I have a little and contributions will be highly appreciated. I filled wava in March 2018 got receipt notice in April and used the receipt notice to file EAD, 485 and AP together in April, in May forms were sent back bc of some missing information, file again in May and in June got the receipt notice for all three, i discovered that my lawyer filed my EAd with the c31 category, i told him it was the wrong category but he asked me if i think he does not know what he is doing? I came to this forum read people's experiences about c31 and i also went to USCIS website and read about  c31, i called him and told him c31 is for approved vawa petitioners, he called USCIS and they confirm it to him so he called him and thanked me for doing a research on that and said he had about 10 vawa cases that he has filed with c31.  i had an expired EAD that was never renewed bc my previous 485 was denied, now he filed for renewal of the old EAD card and i received the receipt notice from NBC instead of Vernom. I did Biomatrics on the 19th of the month. I have 2 receipt notice for EAd , one from vernom c31 category and one from NBC c9, the one from NBC has the 180days extention  and fees were waved  and the one from vernom only talks about case being received and fees were waved. The online case stutus for both says fingerprint review was completed and we are working on your application.  am so confused i don't know if i will get the EAD soon. Did he make a mistake by sending it to NBC please say anything to know. Thanks

If you have a pending I-485, the correct category is c9. All correspondence has to be sent to the Vermont Service Center as they are responsible for all VAWA petitioners.

After your approval your case shall be first transferred to the NBC and it may a couple of months before going to the local office... Then you wait until the local office schedules an interview appointment.

I am in NYC also it's a long wait so be prepared for several months waiting and make sure you renew your EAD. Hopefully they will get moving.

Hi everyone,

I have been a silent reader in this forum and I must confess that this forum is terrific.

Today is exactly ONE YEAR that USCIS received my Vawa I-360 application

7/25/2017 - receipt by USCIS

Till now, no update yet, no PF, no RFE....

I want to know when I can start to contact my Senator or something. and the procedure of contacting my senator.

I never received PF, don't know why

Any idea? Thanks

Some people receive PF, some don’t. There is no rhyme or reason to it. If you want PF, you can just send VSC a letter requesting it.

Right now it looks like they are taking 16-20.5 months. On the USCIS processing page they tell you a date and if you filed before that date you are considered out of processing time and can submit a service request. Right now that date is November 24, 2016.

Current processing times are 16-20.5 months. If you filed in July 2017, the earliest you will hear back is November 2018.

That means your case is at your local office. They are just bad about updating the online status. What is your local office? Do you know how long I-485 processing times are for it right now?

I  talked to some experienced immigration Psychologists and counselor. They typically have 2 or 3 appointments for total of 4 hours in the office with them. The total process of evaluation takes 3 to 4 weeks. I noticed that it is suggested in our forum that we need 5-6 sessions. I need some suggestions about this.

2,3 therapy sessions won't help you at all,  how can you tell about all the abuse suffered in 2,3 sessions?

In NYC all local offices are taking long time to set up the interview between 7 to 10months.

Sorry to hear about your illness but Uscis will not take into consideration that you are battling  cancer, because  the cancer was not  caused by the abuse suffered , they will consider just if he prevented you to seek treatment, and you have to prove this of course.
