I filled in feb 2017 i received my 1st RFE march 2017 for good moral character and good faith and i have been waiting since then no updates, but today i received my 2nd RFE and its making me nervous anyone has experience with 2nd RFE. Can i go to info pass and ask them what is my RFE instead of waiting on the mail?

I just checked my case status online and got this message!!! This is the first update since the initial “fees were waved” message from March 2017 💕 I just received my EAD c9 last month in June 2018, I’m wondering if this is a new EAD with category c31 or GC but either way I’m thrilled and I hope everyone gets their good news soon as well!!!!!

Just be patient and wait. They typically send RFE’s really fast so you should receive it this week. 

The people at InfoPass at your local office have no access to see what the RFE is about due to it being a VAWA case.

My lawyer is on a vacation overseas and he is the person usually gets all my paper work not me for some reason then he sends it to me. My local office is vermont service center which where my application is held, I thought info pass are there so they can hep you with more info that you cant get over the phone

 

Do you know what kind of RFE they ask for the 2nd RFE?

I’m sure your lawyer has an assistant or secretary that can send you a copy of the RFE. The 2nd RFE (if first one was for good moral character) is typically to prove bonafide marriage or to submit more evidence for the abuse (if no psychological evaluation or police report or restraining order was submitted). 

 

VAWA cases are very sensitive, so local offices don’t even have access to what the VAWA unit is doing. If your local office is VSC, you might have a chance that they know more but I would just wait until you receive the RFE. They give you quite a lot of time to answer it typically.

my first one was bonafide marriage and good moral, so this means that this one will ask for more abuse evidence or they can ask for something else? i didnt send police reports or psycological evaluation but i sent some letter from friends that witnessed the abuse. I'm thinking about getting an psycological evaluation next week

i send them I-130 letter from her parents,leases, and i wrote one page about how i met all her family from relatives to grand parents
