VAWA is taking 12/14 months to be adjudicated.File a new AOS along with I-765 and within 3months you will get your work permit.

Did ICE go to your home?  how many  officers and what did they ask you?

Hello, thank you for your response god bless you

yes 2 female officers came to my residence they told me that they were confused about the addresses I listed on my vawa and they just want to confirm and they gave me a piece of paper and asked me to write the addresses and sign.

Am thinking that maybe my husband has something to do with it since him and his father threatened to deport me if I don’t get back to him because he tried to contact me multiple times a month before the ice visit.

Can I still apply for 485+765 even if box# 12 is checked on the vawa petition?

hello, and thank you god bless you, I did not have the option to appeal because me and my spouse attended the interview, I believe you had the option to file a motion to reopen because he did not show up. I got the receipt notice shortly after I submitted my vawa in less then 2 weeks. make sure they received it, i used certified mail.

Thank you i hope i will get it before the week runs out. It is well, may the almighty God see us through.

Hi guys

so I just got back from a 1 week trip to Jamaica using my AP for the 6th time!! Guys don’t frustrate yourselves, if you’re able to work and travel don’t think too much about the applications and wait time. It will happen just live your best life while waiting, see how quickly time passes

They transfered to the local office, but you have to wait at least 10months to have your interview

Processing time for Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status (I-485) at Vermont Service Center

Thanks Miss Sandra @sandranj 😰😰 That’s a really long wait. My aunt invited me to her house, and now her daughter is forcing her to put me out, so she can use the room I’m in as a closet.

I asked them for another couple months, which she said no to, but I was hoping to get the interview notice by then. I simply cannot afford to live on my own right now.

Guys, people will see your plight and all you’ve been through and still want to give you a hard time. They will begrudge you your future because they wasted their lives, they will envy you for your strength and will to carry on despite your situation.

I didn’t ask her to give me a place in her home. She made me move to this state, and I regret it so much. Every time I look happy, they come with a problem to make me sad. Sometimes the worst thing you can do is accept help from family. I won’t let them and their evil ways cause me to forget that I’m almost at the end of my VAWA journey.

I was told today by the non-profit attorney to expect EAD approval 90-150 days from when my Vawa was approved and when I asked if we can send an expedite request they said to just wait.  Um, no.  I have a pending employment opportunity that is literally waiting for me to present my EAD and an extreme financial situation.  I wrote a letter today to request to expedite my EAD based on these two things.   Crossing my fingers that they say okay.  :dead:

It is well my dear, the lord is your strength, count it all joy and do not bear any hatred against them. Every thing happens for a reason.

Try to see if a shelter for victims of domestic violence accepts you,I am saying if they will accept you because shelters just accept prople fleeing from abuse,it means from the abusive spouse to the shelter, but because you went to your aunt's home  they might not accept you,but it does not hurt to try.
