I filed one year ago, but I never received a pf does it mean I didn't prove a case?

A prima facie case means just a glance that you seemingly have a valid case with all the required documents submitted in legal terminology it actually means (accepted as correct on first glance until proven otherwise) so establishing a Prima Facie case at first glance does not mean you are likely to be approved and not establishing a Prima Facie case does not mean you will not get approved. People have not gotten a prima facie document and gotten approved and people who have gotten the prima facie document have been denied.

I’m pretty sure that is good and enough evidence, I recently applied for Vawa too, and since I entered into a marriage with not so much economic or enough documents together, like bank accounts or that stuff together. I gave pictures of us together and old messages whenever we were in a relationship, someone in this forum a long time ago, said pictures do not work as bonafide, but I have recently receive a prima facie and have not yet received an rfe or anything. Plus in my affidavit I wrote of how we met and how much I loved my abuser despite of the abuse. Is good also to write how you guys met and how the love started to prove a bonafide marriage. Hope that helps ^_^ good luck.

May 1 2018 uscis received my case, i took the risk of not hiring an attorney because I couldnt afford one and I tried to be really cautious in documenting everything by myself  like I spent 3 months gathering everything. I wrote a 18 pg affidavit, one restraining order,  2 police reports in one which he admits he hitted me, so I took the risk of doing everything without the help of a lawyer. I was scare, but as long as you feel confident you can have a solid case you can do it by yourself, but I would not recommend it. I would suggets asking a lawyer if you have a shoot on having a strong vawa case, as long as you can proof abuse happened at some point or you have a psychologal evaluation or something. Im still scare I would get denied  but make sure you have a good affidavit. Write how much, the abuse affected your life and how each form of abused you suffered make you feel, if you truly have a good affidavit, in which you can demostrate you suffered abuse, you can have a strong vawa case.

I’m male too. I am so worried about my case before I saw your post. I thought female has more advantages than male in the vawa case. But I know I’m wrong. My ex wife is not a physical abuser. She is a mental absuer. I sent a psychological evaluation to USCIS. Can someone will get approval based mental abuse?
