Greetings to you all, please has any one gone through this before? My initial i485 and i130 eas denied and my ead that i sent for renewal was denied as well,  so i file for vawa March 14 2018 and got the receipt notice, use the receipt notice to file for I 485 and I 765  April 25th 2018, May 20th the forms were sent back bc they need more information about my address history and work history. Filled the i formation and sennt it back May 28th 2018 up till now no receipt notice, is this normal, though my ead was denied i was still working using the 180 days automatic extention which will expire next week and i will leave the job. Do you think this is going to be an issue with USCIS because i continued working?   any idea please.

Hi guys. I just had my interview yesterday. It went fast, he didnt ask much about anything. He just asked me the routine question about the 485 form, the terrorism yes or no and all. Asked me if I wanted my maiden name back. Went through all the paperworks and approved it on the spot. 

 

Timeline: 

 

Sept 2016 Filed VAWA

Nov 2016 - held my pending i485 from my ex husband pending the adjudication of my just submitted Vawa.

received 3 prima facie from 2016 to 2017x

Nov 2017 - RFE for bonafide marriage

Jan 2018 - sent RFE

Feb 2018 - VAWA approval 

april 2018 - EAD renewal - still no decision.

May 2018 - interview notice

june 2018 - approval.

Why should it be an issue with uscis since your ead is still valid for some days   to work. But when it expires then it will be aproblem

When you get an rfe did you respond on time? Did you submit all requested rfe? If yes or no try info pass.

This look like you didn’t answer your rfe and they closed your case my suggestion is that you try an info pass and check what went wrong from there you can pm Sandra.

To renew the work permit has to be mailed to VSC.

The case will remain at the NBC 30 to 45 days.

So I went for an infopass appointment this past Friday to talk to an IO about the EAD renewal i filed  and was received January 9th 2018. I also inquired about my VAWA case which was filed and received March 12th 2017. In a nutshell the IO told me that  he couldnt make a service request on my EAD because it still has 3 days before it gets out of the normal processing time, he however confirmed that the  file was just assigned to an officer on the 7th of June 2018. The date he gave me corroborates with the dates that we were all receiving emails that our cases are still being reviewed and no update at this time. This confirms those emails are not just nuisance emails from USCIS failed system afterwards. The IO also confirmed that my VAWA documents has been Bundled with my I485 and will soon be ready for interview. Though I dont have a VAWA approval yet, but considering the informmation from the IO, my hope in my long wait was some-worth rejuvenated.   Dont give up people! Lets all stay alive and hope for the very best. Good Luck!

That's refreshing to hear that it wasn't just USCIS system going crazy. I am now feeling a tad bit better about the C31 EAD I believe I will be getting in the mail, hopefully, that is an indication of an approval. By all indications, I think you should be getting an approval soon. Good luck!
