Wait a month till July and try to contact them if you still haven't received it. You can check the processing time on the USCIS website, but usually EAD approval can take upto 120 days or a little more.

Thanks, Iceman!

Good morning any April 2017 filers here ? Have you gotten anything other than prima facie

I am a March 2017 filer and i don't have anything other than a Prima Facie determination issued to me in April 2018. Its valid for a year. Its rather unfortunate that USCIS has turned processing of applications to a snail raise. There seem to be no end in sight to this delayed process. They increased filing fees with the claim of recruiting more adjudicators, but that doesn't seem to be the case. :(

I am a Feb/March filer as well. One website shows late Feb 2017 and the other new site shows early March 2017. I am not even sure which one they will use. Hopefully, we will be getting some news soon.

Hi friends!
Can someone please clarify if this news that just came out on CNN refers to Vawa cases?

"Trump admin drops asylum protections for domestic violence victims"

https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/11/politics/jeff-sessions-asylum-decision/index.html

Fairfax County, Virginia (CNN)The Trump administration Monday overturned asylum protections for domestic violence and gang violence victims in a ruling that could potentially prevent tens of thousands of immigrants from getting protection in the US.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions' decision sets a high bar for victims of crime to qualify for asylum protections. Not only must the government of the home country be unable or unwilling to help the victims, but "the applicant must show that the government condoned the private actions or demonstrated an inability to protect the victims."
The ruling is the latest instance of Sessions taking full advantage of his authority over the immigration courts -- a separate court system designed by law to be under the auspices of the Justice Department. The attorney general functions as a one-person Supreme Court in the system, in addition to hiring and evaluating the lower court judges themselves.
The administration has made a priority of trying to curtail asylum claims in the US, despite asylum being a valid protection under US law and an obligation under international law. Sessions argues most asylum claims are ultimately unsuccessful.
Gang violence is a major problem in Central America and one the Trump administration has itself highlighted with heightened rhetoric, with President Donald Trump calling MS-13 gang members "animals."

No, this is specifically for people seeking asylum, they are dropping those two qualifying circumstances, so if you suffered domestic violence in your home country or gang violence you can no longer use that to qualify for asylum.

If you submitted your application there is nothing to worry. You only have to worry about the long wait and being approved. People who are going through DV need to fill Vawa as soon is possible because with this administration things are changing all the time and pretty quickly.

Hello Friends,
Can someone explain to me why FORM I-797C, which is the document that USCIS sends when sending an I-360, says that Form I797C "is not evidence that your case is still pending"?
What is the document sent by USCIS considering that one has a Vawa case pending in USCIS ?, since I understand that not all people receive the PRIMA FACIE.
I thought that when USCIS received the vawa file automatically one had a pending case in USCIS.
Someone to clarify this please!
Thank you

Can someone answer this concern please?

Thank you very much!
