I sent my first petition based on marriage and EAD request in October 2017 but still haven't received EAD and they have sent me RFE asking for my husband's tax return which he won't provide. Then I had to file VAWA this May.  I really need a job, I can't wait another 5-6 months. I can't go anywhere, I can't buy quality food, I have to wear same shabby clothes. I have biometrics appointment soon, is there anything I can do to help myself in this situation when I go to USCIS? My attorney said that their office never applied for expedite before and I have to do it myself, if I want.

19 months for EAD?

My 8th month of waiting doesn't seem so bad now

The EAD C31 is only available for approved vawa

December 21 of 2016. Package receive by USCIS

February  2017 RFE of good moral character

March 2017 they got the RFE

April 2017 EAD received

 

June 5th 2018 EAD C31 received

Citizen. I had 2 other EAD card before the c31 category

My EAD took about 90 days to arrive. U still good

Hmm how come you filed under C31 with your spouse being a US citizen? Was that just an oversight? Because you get your EAD quicker filing under C9

C31 category is for a approved vawa. I had 2 EAD card C09 before!
