I don’t know if anyone realized, but they have extended the period for form I-360 😧 it used to be 15-19 months for vawa. It’s probable they have extended the periods to much longer waits.

Check the new site www.uscis.dhs.gov Its more accurate sometimes. The regular one is down.

guys, what do they normally ask on VAWA i485 interview? 

 

on my interview notice they told me to bring a copy of my i485 packet.. the i 485 packet that I have was my i485 packet based on my marriage which they put on hold pending my VAWA adjudication..

just got my EAD CATEGORY C31.  

It’s been 19 months of waiting. It’s finally over!!! 

Hoping that everyone will get the same!

Has anyone tried to expedite their EAD with VAWA pending?

I sent my first petition based on marriage and EAD request in October 2017 but still haven't received EAD and they have sent me RFE asking for my husband's tax return which he won't provide. Then I had to file VAWA this May.  I really need a job, I can't wait another 5-6 months. I can't go anywhere, I can't buy quality food, I have to wear same shabby clothes. I have biometrics appointment soon, is there anything I can do to help myself in this situation when I go to USCIS? My attorney said that their office never applied for expedite before and I have to do it myself, if I want.

My 8th month of waiting doesn't seem so bad now

This EAD card under the C31, not the C9. It means if USCIS approved your EAD card, they also approved vawa application.

19 months for EAD?

The EAD c31 is only for approved vawa.  I got it today!
