Newark😊

You are very lucky then because it says online that the processing times for the field office range from 11.5 to 25 months.

My field office is San Francisco and its been couple months since my application was transferred, I hope something similar happens in my case too :)

Thank you but how about this: I received this notice about my i485, but the interview date is Nov 30, 2016. That was the date that they put a hold on my i485. How will I know my right schedule date?I'm trying to get an infopass, but no sched. If ever the NOA that I will receive has the wrong date too. what are my options to have this corrected. They are so messey. Now my supposed to be slot for interview must have been filled up and when they correct this, it will be pushed back :(

Interview Is Scheduled

On May 30, 2018, we scheduled you for your interview and mailed you an interview notice for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXX. Your interview is on November 30, 2016. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your interview notice by June 29, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Yep they are messy, just go to the infopass to find out why you received this message regarding 2016  interview.

Have you tried to call and speak with a USCIS officer? They should be able to assist you with the interview date. They will most likely connect you to tier 2 officer who should be able guide you better.

USCIS CANNOT give any information over the phone for VAWA petitioners, even if it's about the I-765.

It was sent march 7th and lawyer only sent it to me 5/31/2018  He is in Texas and I moved to Florida. My friend had to go personally to his office and ask him to look for any of my letters  he received.

That lawyer, does not represent me anymore but he still gets all my letters from USCIS. He has no idea what he is doing or what VAWA is exactly. This notice was generated automatically, though I had sent a notarized letter to them prior at the beginning of Jan.

I would recommend you to do an infopass and ask if they ever sent you the PF extension.  I went to infopass here in Miami field office because I want to file for EAD renewal, first I had to find out if they did send  a PF extension and they were very helpful. Now I am about to file EAD renewal.

Your former attorney must withdraw his representation sending a letter to USCIS.

USCIS is sending EXPIRED  EAD, informing people their names or addresses were updated, their computers are experiencing some problems. You all should inform about this to the USCIS ombudsman.

Dear Collaborators, If a lawyer took the case of a client in USCIS and then a second lawyer is sought to represent me in substitution of the first lawyer, FORM G-28 is authorized as the new attorney representing the Client.
I ask:
1. The fact that the second lawyer sends the FORM G-28 automatically replaces the first lawyer?
2. What happens if the first lawyer does not notify a USCIS that the representative is not a client? The client is represented by the two lawyers?
On the other hand, I would like to know if you have a registered address in USCIS, if you can have the address of your lawyer registered in USCIS, this is because in case a person is denied the case, VAWA would be exposed to the risk of deportation by the party. of ICE if your address is registered with USCIS.
Thank you all ...

If you filled i-765/i-485/i-360 together, then in my opinion you are eligible for EAD based on pending i-360. I don't think receiving EAD means the VAWA was approved. What did your attorney say?

Many attorneys/self- petitioners made mistakes when they filed  AOS and put in the form I-765 category C31, then if the person got the EAD, category C31, it means the VAWA was approved.

I have a question. Since I  recently applied for the form I-360 and not the I-765 . If I want to apply for the adjustment and the ead, and I dont have enough money for it, can I apply for the fee waiver? Would school count as an obstacle for me, to not been able to pay it? School for me is like 2,000 since I wanted to go and do a health program, i  really dont have enough to pay the application and i wanted to have a assist myself financially , my mom helps me, but its not enough, my situation is really stressful. I have evidence of school tuition in my school charges, which I can show. Is that helpful?

You can file form I-912 to waive the fees. Mention all your expenses and how much you are making or if you are ununemployed.

You can apply for Federal student aid (FAFSA). https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa
