I watched the whole thing and, I personally didn't take that away from it. Honestly, I felt like it was a whole lot of information that we as filers going through the process already know about. They talked about incorporating a social media component and I've heard buzzing about that but since you have already filed i doubt it will affect you. They speak in general terms of improving the process but really thats it... don't worry too much. you're in!! you'll be ok

Ok, just wasn't sure if anything was specified in the video... I guess it makes me feel better that the video is from a year ago, around the same time that everything started slowing down, perhaps they've already implemented any measures that will slow the process down.

That very well could be a valid fact. But, all they bring up is all the fraudulent cases and none of the legal cases. Which is typical of the news in the states. Tell u what they want u to hear and rarely the truth🙈🙈🙈

Hopefully you're all pushing through, currently in steps to book interview, NVC have received our case but not been put into the system yet.

 

I have a question about Administrative Processing (travel outside of US). I am reading estimates that it is taking 3 to 5 months to get AP? Surely that can;t be right when other places say 90 days....

 

Having to wait 5 months to leave the country (whether for a honeymoon or something else) is crazy!

Can anyone shed some light?

That’s advance parole.

adminsitrative processing is extra background checks.

 

it is usually 3-4 months. If there’s something urgent (health of a relative etc) you can as for emergency AP. But yep it is right.

as mentioned before, WE ARE APPROVED!!!

 

4 hours after the name updated I was woken up by lovely @Swissmiss82 (whom I swore at for a good minute as I finally fell asleep at 2:30 🤣🤣 then I saw who it was but couldn’t wake up, then she sent me a screenshot of my approval. I advise anyone to have one of these @Swissmiss82 in hand cause she knew before my email came )

 

Now about the “name was updated” as my other dear @emekus94 said, normally “name was updated” is a correction on the petition about name or address or such.  However, when they were doing May I was really in to research on some of the updates that people has no idea why. One was name was updated (never expected to get one) I confirmed this theory of name updated 99% turns to approval with quite a lot of members here so yayyyy.

 

my case only got name update on 4/5 4am but with the date of 4/4 on the new site, and the approval came on the old site.

received date: Sept 15

submitted: Sept 18

noa 2: April 5

 

I deleted the app so I’m not sure but I think I’m on day 204? from the received date. 

 

And I wouldn’t do this again even if they give me a million dollars! 

 

I don’t know how everyone is doing it, but during the past week I broke up with my fiancé 10 times at least. Because I wanted to stop the pain one way or another. And I couldn’t go to work for the past 2 days.... so I understand why couples are drained and why some people are not as “strong” (actually this is the wrong word to use)

 

So many people helped me through this hell other than the chocolate puddings that I ate.

I want to give a brief summary of how this road looked like from my eyes:

-June edition:the one with most drama

-July edition: the one with the most chill

-August: the one that made me go crazy

-September : expediters 

-October : the one who always caught up in someone else’s drama

-November: all k1 goes to california 

-December: mainly validation errors

So I think I finally figured out why that “name updated” happens, so if anyone had the same confirm me or tell me it’s a nah.

 

i have a middle name, however in Turkey it also counts as a given name and appears on my passport.

 

On my noa1 my middle name didn’t appear as I wrote it as a middle name instead of writing two given names. But we said oh well that’s not important (because it is something you can solve later at the embassy stage) however on my noa2, even though we didn’t update anything I have my middle name too.

 

now I am in their system and I also put a copy of my visa from US before which specifies my names. So I think that’s what they updated in the system. 

 

Were there any typographical changes on cases that saw the same case status before their approval? I know it’s a tiny window and if it was silent before the new system nobody would even realize it.. but I just want to be able to give a better answer when this issue comes up  and I’m too curious for my own good.....

Appreciate it! I have heard others mention their cases being "touched." Is that possible to see for us somehow?
