@Naes Congratulations on your NOA2! I had a feeling you’d get yours before I would...with love from the June drama mamas ❤️😂

I am going to admit that the first thing I checked was June filers when I got here.. And couldn't even comment... I'm still waiting for yours..after all the algorithms we've been through...

Sometimes people cancel or reschedule their appointments at the embassy and then you can jump in. At some embassies you can also ask for a expedited interview. Don't give your hopes up already @Naes

Don't worry, Dearie. Appointments will be made or open for your sake. Let's get this case #!

Nature will Favour you!

Seriously??

What's happening? 😱

I agree with this!

I was able to reschedule my interview to two weeks earlier than what was initially available. Even earlier slots came up but since I had travel plans, I couldn’t pick an earlier medical, and thus no earlier interview. As long as you’re flexible with the medical I think you will find earlier dates, don’t worry 🌸 @Naes

I stalked here on VJ for 6 months obviously I will be stalking that site for as long as it takes!

But a question. So my grandmother who raised me has dementia. This is all new to us and came out this year after a fire in her house. And this is why I am all in for risking everything and going to Turkey whatever the case is, before she forgets about me. Hence cannot wait for my AP cause if anything worse happens I will never forgive myself.

I even thought of going to Turkey and asking my case there, but I know it will be a similar situation or even worse.

I know I am not the petitioner, I know my family's situation is not any ground for a normal expedite or even a special situation. But do you think it's worth asking them for expedite?

Who am I to even say.. but still I will for any positivity in me that left for others.

which date you are?

Yesterday they approved 9/1 cases which I want to believe that it shows they are doing an overall because those were not RFE cases but all were virgins.

Am sorry to hear about your grandmother. That is simply tough and I cannot imagine how you're hanging on. Sending you hugs and hoping this mess ends soon!

Now on the grounds for expedite, you are always welcome take a shot but am like 95% sure they will turn you down.
I say that because there are many that have requested for humanitarian reasons (someone in a prior forum- their fiance's living situation was terrible and in the midst of war, little clean water. And they flat out got rejected) so I doubt saying your grandmother "might forget you" will move the hearts of these people :(

Another thing to consider- your case is almost at the finish line. If you put in a request now, are you sure it won't delay you further?

This is not an expedite for the case, but just to get an earlier date for interview.. I remember they said you can apply even when I was applying for tourist visa.. but I never thought about it.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh
LOL

I think it's embassy specific and you might actually have a chance because I don't think many at that stage are asking to move an interview a few weeks up.
In my opinion, go for it. It cannot hurt

It's really a pity. The situation really looks critical (AP is a long way from now 😔).

I believe it's worth trying since the Expedite request involves the embassy, not USCIS (that takes extra time/energy/sanity).

Contact the embassy ASAP! Will you wait for NVC #before contacting?

I'll wait for the NVC, I'll see the interview dates myself till I get the medical in hand. If I still can't find any other option, I'll try to ask them.

It is not an emergency other than at my personal level so I don't want to push it for any other person that may really need it.
