Hi guys ! My Noa1 was Sept22, Noa2 April 2. Just curious as to what a typical timeframe might look like... I'm hoping to leave Canada and be with my fiance end of May. Is that realistic?

I’m not trying to be a buzzkill but I don’t think so. With the current processing times I’d say late May is probably unlikely. Maybe end of June / mid July depending on how fast your case is sent and received at the NVC and how early you can get your medical & interview done

Oh...that's too bad. He's coming here end of May for my friend's wedding and I was hoping to go back with him. I'm not too concerned about the medical bc/ it's the same place I go for my yearly physicals and travel vaccines...they are pretty quick. I guess whenever the consulate opens up with available interview dates... 🤞

To give you an idea of interview dates as far as I’m aware, there’s none available till mid May atm (UK consulate) maybe Canada is different! I hope so for you! Haha. My fiancé is coming to visit me also at the end of May for my birthday and I wanted to return with him but I don’t think that’s even likely for us and we received NOA2 on the 28th March 😩 fingers crossed tho!

Sounds like we're twins 👯 Well... on the brightside, Ill be sure to tell my mom that I won't be moving just yet. She'll probably be the only person that's happy it's taking longer... Her and my best friend will probably be thrilled! 🤣

Extra time with family definitely can’t hurt!! I’m terrified of leaving mine tbh. First time moving out and I’m moving 3200 miles away 😂

Can I ask what they mainly ask for if they send RFE? The lack of which kind of  information causes it? would highly appreciate your response.

I've seen RFEs reported it for all sorts of things...

Didn't include divorce decree / judgment signed by judge

Didn't sign something

Didn't fill out the criminal history section

Didn't prove meeting in the last 2 years

I've also seen them ask for the things above when people DID send those things in their original petition. I think its general consensus that an RFE is no biggie, most people have the info requested easily and once a response is sent back to USCIS, an approval is granted shortly thereafter. It almost seems as if USCIS is using RFEs to slow down the process a bit so they look like they are using extra scrutiny under the current administration.

Thank you so much for your reply. I think the same, however it's always better without rfes. We don't have such issues, but several small omissions like beneficiariy's postal code, name and address in his/her native alphabet and several  ones of this kind. Other documents are okay, what do you think can these omissions cause RFE.

We have gotten a new justice department order and having this appostilled and notarized and translated. Along with another official document showing final divorce. Things are different in Ukraine in the matter of marriage and divorce where most do not happen in court. The RFEs are good and bad in a way. Good because you pretty much know that what they ask for is the only thing that is deficient in your petition and you get a chance to really beef that part up. USCIS is saying, you get us this one little thing and we are good. No Noid and no denial. The bad part is adding a little bit of time to the time we have already waited.

197 days and counting.......I think this is hard because I had expectations that by now we'd have the NOA2 already....by the looks of things there's no doubt we're going to hit 200+.

Just keep the Faith. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Your approval will come our soon. :)

Hitting 200?

Sister, 212 days today. I thought we would have the NOA2 in hand by now too and preparing for medical and interview.

So much for May POE. I'm now even in doubt if a June POE is possible.
