Hey Berries,

(I love that name by the way... I'm a guy, but yay for girl power <3)

Anyways,

I asked this question before but I now can't seem to remember what everybody said. On my NOA1 (the paper copy) there are two dates the notice date September 21, 2017 and the received date September 19, 2017. My question is, what date should I look for when @Naes posts scans? And what date should I fill out on my timeline for NOA1?

After Getting case number from NVC and send email about it with the case number to the embassy.

if the embassy you use only sends packet 3 through mail, you can just write the new address on ds-160

I probably should have asked this before hand, but I moved across country about 3 months into this process (Sep 25th NOA1) and updated my address on the USCIS site. Do you project any issues with that?

The notice date is your NOA1, so the 21st.

Received date :)

for timeline i think you can do either its your choice (I use my received date, because received date and noa1 sometimes can be a week apart)

As long as your address is updated correctly, nope :) but you can try checking to see if your new address is indeed updated.

Day 191 here and still nothing.....

BUT, am very very happy to see so many has gotten their approvals here!! Congratulations!

@Naes, I'm just curious. I remember when I first joined, the monthly scan excel list included the Receipt Number.

Was there some sort of security issue resulting in some complaints that caused the Receipt Number to be removed?

What can one do with the receipt number? Again, just curious.

TOS of vj and thinking of the privacy of people who are not on vj. But no not really I still do not think wac number would lead to any information. You can't reach to even country with that info.

for me personally everyone was asking to check their status, however status should be checked personally on the uscis website. I don't have any info that won't appear on there. So it was becoming a huge thing.

on another note I also discovered that this order of uscis has nothing to do with wacs but only with dates. A wac number can be 10000 apart but as long as the received date is same it will be adjudicated at the same time. I saw it happen quite a lot.

so mostly to clear some misunderstandings such as this, and people saying oh 1 wac after me got approved why am I waiting...

@Naes you should be an immigration  lawyer.  You have all the answers. I think you could be reach by now to how many people you answered their questions and help filling their forms😁.

Thank you for your hard work.

That's what I thought. What can one do with the wac number. cos previously when someone posted their NOA2 with it and it was fine. Then somewhere along the line, they were asked to blur out the wac number when posting.

So it made me wonder what the big deal was.

I agree status should be checked by own self. That's the least (or the only thing really), you can do for yourself at this stage.

Actually I guess I'm guilty of your last point :jest:

if the wac numbers are included in the scans, I guess I would obsess over how many cases before or after mine got approved lol.

As it is, that's why I'm running 200 cases before and after mine everyday hahaha. Obsessssss.
