i dont know why i thought with the NVC number you can move forward! am i wrong?

Partially correct for London/UK. My fiancé booked his medical yesterday, but we can't book his interview until CEAC (where you check your NVC case number) says "Ready." Our status still says "At NVC."

I know it's a relatively short process for NVC, but it feels like it's taking forever.

Thank you! :)

Honestly, the "home stretch" feels like it takes the longest, because you KNOW it's almost over.

Ohhh, that's good to hear i won't be alone in the big Cali!

My fiance used to live in Oakland, so I know little Italy quite well, but still. I can say (not to brag) I cook better than the restaurants I tried. Maybe I was just unlucky.

No, I think it's very easy to run into these tourist trap places in the city, or places where people don't put any love into the food. I also prefer making my own, where I can add all the love and garlic that I want!

You will LOVE all the Mexican food (and there's even variations between Northern and Southern Cali Mexican food).  We should do a NorCal VJ dinner once we get settled!  The activities will be 1) eating and 2) celebrating :D

It is pretty easy to find high quality fresh meats, fruits, vegetables, and spices in California, so if you enjoy cooking you will be pretty happy and have a very lucky fiance.  :)

Berrriessssssss,

we are approveddddddddd!!!! Wooot woot! In the middle of the night they updated our status. I didn’t get any action change email but my fiancé did but still I found out first while she was sleeping in US. I woke her up and I was shaking, crying and everything. It took exactly 180 days.

hang on other berries. It’s coming soon!!

Praise Jesus for giving us the fruit of our patience 👆🙏

We should totally do it! It would be great! We should open a new thread with people from Cali so we can know each other a bit!
