Thanks! It will be hard to plan a wedding from the other side of the world, but hopefully we'll make it. Especially since because I won't be able to work for who knows how long, so at least I'll have something to do. And it will be the perfect occasion to show everyone my beloved Venice. But for the American one, almost zero stress (I'm only concerned what shoes I'll be wearing since we'll be on the grass) and pizza for everyone! My fiance wants to keep alive my italianess, even though American pizza is not really the same. But I guess I'll have to get used to it!

You’re spot on. America has its own version of pizza but some places it’s really good. Especially little Italy in nyc, been there many times as @h&y mentioned. I have been to the first pizzeria in nyc which is not in little Italy but it’s good. Nyc is full of pizza joints and everyone is comepeti against each other but of course nothing like Italy. But when you go to little Italy you get this whole godfather-ish feel. Grazie!

Hi everyone! Congratulations to everybody who got approved! A few days ago I noticed one mysterious thing happened in our case and maybe somebody knows what it means. It's a little confusing so we've thought to give them a call today. When I check my case status on the old account of USCIS website it says that our case was received on September 22, but several days ago I signed up on the new USCIS website (I went to the processing times and clicked at the button "login" at the top right corner of the page) and it says that our case was received on September 26.

They stopped using received date instead they are using submitted date which is most likely the day you received your text message. Or 1 day before notice went out. So it doesn’t say received date for it but it should be saying “submitted”.

the dates I post are based on the received date of your noa1.

thwy probably wanted to clear the confusion when someone is putting an inquiry as they also changed that date.

@h&y

Another possible issue with the letter of intent is that two separate letters are required, one from the beneficiary, and one from the petitioner.  This is something that I did not find explained well in the I-129F instructions.  The instructions state:

"Evidence of your intention to marry may include statements of intent to marry signed by both you and your fiancé(e) or any other evidence that establishes, by a preponderance of the evidence, your mutual intention"

This could be written more clearly, such at "...may include individual separate signed statements, one each by you, and one by your fiance(e)...

being that a single letter of intent signed by both the petitioner and beneficiary has resulted in RFEs.

In my personal case we had one paper with both our signatures. We got a straight approval, no RFE. I don't know if it might help. Here's our intent attached.

Unfortunately I'm very far from NYC, on the other coast to be exact. But if I'll ever go, I'll definitely try it!

Berries. but that really doesn’t matter as they will just continue from September to October while doing September.

You need to register to usps informed delivery. It may or may not be available in your area. Try their website to check.

It's called Informed Delivery. Go to the USPS website to see if you qualify. It emails you a picture of the letter-sized mail you're going to receive that day. Very handy
