Yessss! I am a sept 21 as well! Congrats :)

I’m glad you’re a Canadian/American couple as well as I’ve heard of Canadian petitions being a little delayed for some reason (you would think we’d be the fastest to get through). Glad that wasn’t the case for you and hoping it’s not for me either!

Another Canadian/American couple here! Why would our petitions take longer? 😕

How soon are you guys sending the necessary documents to your fiances? After approval?

I gave him the i134 and a bunch of supporting docs/photos when we were together last week. After approval we’ll add anything else that’s specifically requested.  Maybe we can avoid the DHL fees but probably not haha.

I feel you on the waiting! It’s so hard not to obsess, knowing that NOA2 should be right around the corner!

Who knows? Just one more thing about this process that makes very little sense. It’s not every CanaAmerican case it’s just been reported a few times. If I were to guess, it might have something to do with the fact that a large majority of Canadians drive to see their American, and passport stamps are rare so it can be a little more difficult ironically to show proof of having met without the typical boarding passes and flights, etc. Nothing to worry about though it seems like a lot are processed within normal times.

Haha, awesome! Well I will keep an eye on you then. We realized when we got the paper NOA2 that our notice date was actually the 10th of March. But my fiancé is most unlikely going to be very engaged in calling the NVC 😄 if you get your case number I will have a great reason to make him call though.

Seriously so excited you got your NOA2 - you were one of the first people that I interacted with on here. And you are always so darn happy 😄

yaaaaay thanks!!!!! :) that's very sweet of u!!! :D

i knoooow i remember our first chitchat here hahaha

i am still on cloud 9! just got back to my family now and unpacking and starting my to do list aka my who-do-i-need-to-see-before-my-move list haha

@Naes is on temporary fiancé-is-visiting leave  I would guess they're outside today, trying to experience some restaurant or park since it's probably his last time in Japan before she moves. As for @John & Rose, I saw he's been hanging out a bit at the NOA2-NVC forum, but besides that I believe he is doing a lot of yoga.

And @Swissmiss82 is somewhere in the remote Alps very hungover from her NOA2 party last night.

hahahaha i survived the night! we partied and celebrated all night! wohoooo :D

Guys, does it matter at all if you been to US or lived there sometime and then applying for a fiancé visa when you’re not in the country? I know a lot of you are traveling back and forth visiting each other something which my fiancé and I didn’t do on purpose. But do you think having history in US (nothing illegal) would cause not to get fiancé visa? Also, what thou does scan speaketh regarding new updates? Help a Bro out. —  Noa1 09/28 and insanely-going-crazily waiting 🤪

I have lived in the US, although that was a long time ago. I have also traveled to the country several times, however, no times since we applied for the K1 visa. Our petition was approved about a week ago, there have been no issues. Just make sure you (later on) fill out the DS-160 with the approximate dates you visited/lived there before and you will be fine.

Okay. This sounds good. Thanks Liz. Saying that, hopefully during interview the officer will not question it much. I’m just also concerned about another thing that I had applied for work visa in us when I was there which got rejected and hence I had to come back to my country and choose this fiancé visa route. This waiting period is crazy. And congrats on your visa being approved :)
