Hey Swiss Miss, CONGRATULATIONS!!! This always makes us (and I bet that everybody else too) having the wait just ahead of us so full of happiness and hope  Btw, how the heck did you end up in Savannah, GA? :jest:  I lived there for a year too and I just loved it but I always wondered that it's so off the beaten path for tourists from Europe :jest:

Hi! No, no one really answered it yet lol. I have my original contract/offer letter showing that I'm a remote based employee in Canada... I suppose I could provide printouts of pay showing I'm being paid in Canadian dollars... The company does have offices all over the US and in the city my fiance is in. Luckily, the contract does stipulate that I work for the Canadian division only.  I think I'll do some research in other forums. 😊 Ultimately, I'm definitely going to follow whatever the law is... I won't ever jeopardize my visa over this. 👍 Besides... a 3 month wait isn't that long considering the time it takes to set up interviews, network. Thanks for your advice 😁

Hey, I actually have kinda the same problem.

I'm a free lance translator for a Dutch company and I was wondering i will be able to work for them while in the US. I still haven't figured it out. But I do get invoice 3 times a year, so it doesn't work as a regular job.

And right now I get paid in my Italian bank account. If I don't close it and keep getting paid there, would it be a problem?

Does anyone have encountered a situation like me?
I have no idea if it will affect my case.
I checked a lot of this type of situation but got nothing...

Also my fiancé called the USCIS, they wanted to put my fiancé on hold for 2 hours to talk to a tier 2, but my fiancé had to go back to his work so he asked USCIS for a callback, when USCIS callback not have someone there...

It might... Did you get an honorable discharge? I believe I read somewhere that you would need to disclose your miltary history upfront(which base , which rank/carrier field, length of service). I would wait to hear back from USCIS because ultimately, it's them and the US government that decide, not anyone on the forum. Every case is so different. Good luck!

Yes! I have performed well in the military and I left because the service time expired and legally. I always think that the military certification needs to be given to the interviewer when I get the interview(as indicated on the website).
