Hi! I've been busy with work and haven't had a chance to post right away 😊 I have a question about working/waiting for work authorization... Are beneficiaries able to continue working for their current employer while awaiting work authorization in the US? I work remotely and have a feeling that once I'm ready to leave Canada, my company will ask me if I want to stay with them and continue to work remotely while I'm awaiting work authorization in the US. Obviously, if I'm not allowed I won't be working at all... instead I'll be enjoying a much needed vacation and searching for new employment opportunities. Any ideas?

I actually have the same question. This can actually be my possibility as I plan to resign ryt away after i get my approval and will have not enough time to wait and train for my replacement. I could also work remotely (i dread being unemployed) but if its illegal then i have no choice.

They can see if security checks pending or if it came back to uscis. If they can't see any info it usually means it is not back yet.

Ooo that’s good to know thanks @Naes

9/11 NOA1 here and I already having  an anxiety and mood changes because of unknown reason by USCIS.

Hoping that a silent NOA2 would come in the mail today by Informed Delivery

This is what I get this morning by Informed Delivery. I mean seriously??? Now I'm going to even have double anxiety because of this. If I get home today and check my mailbox, let's hope that I'm not going to have triple anxiety 😂😂😂😩😩😩.

I got an alert this morning that my case was assigned to an officer because I put in a request to speak with a tier 2. Whenever I actually call, they're always closed due to high call volume. my luck they'll call while I'm doing something and miss it. :jest:

Where did you get that alert?  So they update and tell you when it’s assigned to someone before you find out if it’s approved?

Question,

I've seen a few different responses and I've checked the USCIS websites/embassy specific, etc etc

Is there a list of documents that NEED wet signatures? It seems we are all kind of adding in extras to play it safe. From what I understand. Taxes, letter from employer and letter of intent are the only necessary documents needed with wet signatures?

Also, could someone just let me know what they're including when they sent their fiance the evidence requested? I'd like to compare. Thank you!

I think I every document that you need signature at this point should be wet signature, since you are sending one of two, then gather all up and send. I would say updated letter of intent, employment letter and the 134 form. But the most important part is to check the list in your specific embassy website, everything that needs signature then do a wet one ;)

Just that it was assigned to an officer for a call back.  I always call trying to speak with Tier 2 and I never have any luck so finally I just put in a request for a call back. When I log in online under case history, it shows "Assigned to an officer for a response." They aren't as robotic as tier 1... I just get nervous about not receiving something in the mail due to a crazy neighbor or something.. so I want to make sure I'm ok. (So long as the officer has any further information than tier 1)

Oh okay assigned to an officer for a call back. Yeah I am with my fiancée right now until the 26th and if it could get approved before I go home it would be a huge weight off of my shoulders..

Where does it say that a second/renewed letter of intent is required? I hadn’t seen that yet anywhere...?

This is the link to Packet #3 for Canada...

https://ca.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2016/07/Packet3Instructions-K1.pdf

You can see right at the top of the checklist it says "Intent to Marry Letter signed by the petitioner and dated within 30 days of the interview date." I dont know what the packets for other consulates say, but I'm pretty sure most of them are similar.

Hope it helps :)

Ahh, thanks! I didn’t realize it was an embassy thing, I guess I thought it was required by USCIS, but I didn’t see it documented anywhere. Makes sense. Now if only I could somehow find out the packet 3 requirements for Croatia (have had zero luck with that)...🙄
