We had our interview on May 14 at 6:40am at US Embassy Manila, the whole interview process only took less than an hr. WE WERE APPROVED!!! Consular Officer didn't ask for the Affidavit of Support and even Proof of Relationship (Photos, Chat Logs and etc). Most of the questions were about my previous jobs overseas. Interview only lasted for less than 5 minutes. Very smooth process.

 

Goodluck to everyone who are still waiting for their interview and approval. We will be together soon with our SO. 😊

Hello guys , September 5 filer here I received an RFE March 20 , they received the reply April 17 and I just signed in on the new website and turns out OUR CASE WAS APPROVED MAY 14!!! No update on the old website ,  no news on case tracker , no update entering you receipt number on the phone either but I asked to speak to a representative and she confirmed we were approved as stated on the new website!  Good luck to those who still waiting!!! Check the new website all the time!! And don't go by case tracker or the old website or even dialing your number on the phone! your approval might be in the new! Can't wait till all those remaining are approved

Congratulations!!! My fiance has her interview there on the 18th at 6:40 am and hearing your experience has reduced some of the stress.  Thanks for sharing 😀

Hit a low point today.

 

Am so tired and frustrated with the wait. If there were any reasons or explanation given, I'd probably accept it better. But there is nothing at all but for my FI to check to call them (pointless) and check his mailbox everyday while I just refresh my email, app and the new site everyday.

Your not alone and I have done 2 inquiries same generic reply on both word for word. I’m so tired of this process and as I hit 253 I’m starting to think I should have just got married and did the spousal visa because at this point I would have been half way through my wait! I was told this one was faster well we are finding out not anymore.

Nothing at all. Finally managed to put in an enquiry and was told we’ll hear something within 15 days. 15 days came and gone. FI called to follow up and the officer said “oh, we said 15 days but it’s really 15-30 days. Call back if you don’t hear 15 days later.”

 

So we get the idea that they’ll just give excuses to stall. And nope, despite FI asking them questions like has it gone through background checks, has it been assigned to an officer yet, they’re telling us nothing.

Same. Was just thinking as well, had we just applied a year before, I would be there with no hassle at all right now with my love, or we would have just gone the spousal visa route since wait time is about the same and it’s cheaper. I’m thinking chances of getting denied for spousal visa should be lower than K1 too. Like you, we did the K1 cos we were told it’s the quicker route.

It’s so frustrating and you can’t do anything about it! I will be with him in 5 weeks but again that is only for a month and I still have to come home and wait ugh

Did they stop doing scans for this month because the majority has moved on to the next stage?

Hey everyone! I'm back! We just got approved yesterday apparently. I checked the new website today out of habit and now it says approved. Gonna wait 12 days and then i'm calling NVC every day!

Hi guys, I know it’s not related to this thread but I need some info to book my interview! We had lawyers set up the ds160 and they have given us the account to log into but I need to verify it and the K1 visa isn’t an option to choose so I can’t verify it meaning I can’t book the interview! Has anyone else had this issue?! I’m from London in England

Talk to your attorney. When I peeped the DS-160 forms today it asks what kind of VISA it is when setting up the account so it's likely already done and you just need to go through the motions to get to the end where you can schedule. But again, talk to your attorney.
