Hello sweet berries!

This day has come! Yesterday we reached 9 months mark since our engagement, and today our little baby approval was born!

 

The officer was very nice, he asked me how we met, where my fiancée lives, if our first meeting is the only one, and if we have a wedding date! That was all, “your visa is approved, you’ll receive your passport within a week”. I can’t belive this waiting is over. Tomorrow my fiancée comes to see me in Russia, and I’m beyond happy. 

 

Thanks a lot to all the people on this forum, I’ve never gotten so much support as I got here! I hope those who don’t have their approval yet will get it ASAP!

WE WERE JUST APPROVED TODAY OMG FINALLY!

 

Received email and case updated on old website and app, but not yet on new website. Old website hasn’t updated since our case was received.

I have to gripe for a second. This whole system is f'ed up. I am so so so sick of this waiting nonsense. Seeing people in November get approved when I filed in September and I don't have squat... sent a RFE over 2 weeks ago for information I already provided when I originally filed, and I am just twiddling my thumbs now and haven't seen my fiance in 7 months. Can't visit because I don't have the time or PTO set aside, let-alone the money... and it's just a terrible feeling. There HAS to be some sort of reworking of this system. It's only fair that not a single person from another month be approved until one month is completely finished, whether they received a RFE or not. The structuring of this whole system is wrong and I find it impossible to believe that it could take THIS long for anything at all to happen. In the age of information and computers... no amount of "paperwork" should take this long to process. Haven't even gotten NOA2, then another month to wait to get NVC number, and then another month to wait for an interview date. I am at wit's end and am about to just quit my job and move abroad to where she is until this is done.

You are right the process is a cluster f at best.  Although It’s  not funded through tax payer dollars it acts like a typical government agency that does everything backwards .  

 

That being said I would relax your noa2 Is coming soon. Be very thankful that they at least touched your keys and you received your RFe, as there are other people from June still waiting who haven’t heard a thing.  The process is definitely very frustrating but hang in there and you’ll receive it in no time . I believe the average time to receive a response from rfe is about 30 days

Ok got my 2nd rfe letter today and they want my divorce decree from first husband and another letter of intent from my fiancé. Please let this be the last they want from me and give me a noa2 approval.

Well just mailed out RFE#2 - hope this works.  Need an approval !
