he was told that two weeks ago when he was told that. That some cases take longer to come back from background checks

Oh don't worry about that I didn't take it personal and it wasn't against you either.

Then they are really just saying anything to get people off the phone.

When I called a few days ago, tier 2 told me background checks are already done at the beginning..####### is this

...

I want to protest

I am so sorry for your situation

Ok so at least we know it is in background checks (most likely) and maybe your name got a hit or something and they're double checking.. (All I can do is to find a silverlining)

All the things I've read about background checks are, some cases(I don't know if this is random but it actually looks random to me) are sent to extra background checks but you guys are young and I'm thinking a rather normal case I don't know why your case would go, and you can travel to US so I really don't get it...

Correction;I am frustrated together with you too believe me I am (cause that sounded weird I am not frustrated with you, I am frustrated, with you)

I am not going to call any longer because I cant take anymore of their bullshit. Their playing with people's lives here. There has to be a better more systematic way of processing cases.

It is the same as calling and making an inquiry. so yes but the problem with these cases and why I said that before is different as they are already moving to November (or trying to) I just wouldn't put an inquiry when the month is active. And I still don't think an inquiry will help but what else is there to do ?

From what I gather but this is not always true obviously. some cases that wait longer were waiting because there was a possible (this are just a guesses from the members themselves) old criminal record (nothing big), or travelled A LOT, or rejected entry to US once. These are all I could come up with. That's why I am asking if there is any reason to think of that can justify this situation... although nothing does justify this.

I have no criminal back ground in my life actually I have global entry access here and express entry in 2 other countries so I was completely vetted. My fiancé works in an industry in his country where he has to have clearance. If it’s the option of traveling a lot well that can be true because I’m a travel blogger and travel to multiple countries a year. I can understand that but at least don’t  give me a script that makes no sense. Also today the man didn’t even want to forward me to a Tier 2! He saidy case didn’t warrant it because I was still in processing time for my visa. I explained that it wasn’t true but he was a little combative so I said thank you and called back and was transferred to a Tier 2 where they put an inquiry in because it was past processing time. This is my 2nd inquiry.

Yes a letter basically saying my case was in the process of getting adjusted and that was March 24th.

So it said “it was assigned to an officer and you can wait for a reply within 45 days” ?

If that’s the one that “normally” should mean it’s done background checks and you’re stuck with a lazy one... they said this at March 8 to us then got the noa2 one month later.. so I’m guessing there are sloths working in the office maybe..

what does it mean when the inquiry says "On May 1, 2018, we sent a response to your Other - Tier 1, referral number " then the next one says complete?

That they sent you the response to your inquiry. did you make two inquiries?
