Got a RFE today... on day 205. :angry:

Feel like I hired a lawyer for nothing. I wanted everything to go through without a hitch and gave the lawyer everything she asked for. What could the RFE possibly be for?

Don't be mad. At least it's better than nothing.

With an RFE, at least you know they are looking at your file. Just give them what they want (could even be something you have already provided in the first place), wait maybe few days to 2 weeks and you'll get your approval.

At this moment, I rather have an RFE than nothing.

Agreed. I just skimmed almost every user from the August filers who got RFEs and usually the NOA2 is given after a RFE is responded to within 10-14 days. I'll feel better once I have the NOA2, but everything from this point on at least is a shorter wait.

Like you said; better than nothing. Funny too because I just emailed and faxed my state senators today about this lengthy process.

Hello everyone!I'm a long reader here and I wanna say congratulations to all of you guys that got approved.

My NOA1 is 11 September 2017 and today are 220 days waiting for NOA2.

Called 3 times USCIS and they say we are in possessing time.

Guys that are still waiting for their NOA2 hope we all have good news ASAP.

@Naes thank you for everything you're doing for all of us girl.Congrats and good luck.😀

I got an RFE on my day 206 aswell, and it was for the stupidest reason ever. I hired a lawyer aswell for the same reason thinking everything will go smoother and I won’t doubt myself knowing a professional helped with the process. Little did I know the RFE is for something the lawyer missed, 2 yes or no questions 🙈🙈 we sent the RFE on 4/10 and they received it 4/16.

Good luck to you!

Why do they tell you that you're within normal processing time. You're well over it. On their website as of today states that anyone who filed September 21, 2017 or prior can submit an inquiry.

I recommend you call and ask to speak to an immigration officer. Also instead of putting an inquiry yourself, get in touch with the local congressman or senator to help you.

@Sarac9 thanks for your support. We know about but we'll not submit an inquiry. We are waiting because they said that there are a  lot of cases that sometimes wait more for background checks and other procedures.

I hope you hear something soon. It makes me upset that you're waiting so long and can't do anything...

I feel like you should be able to get more info on exactly why it's pending.

Did they say that it was assigned to an adjudicator? Or something like that to you?

@Sarac9 Yes they told us that is assigned to an officer. I am not alone. We just have to be patient and wait.

If it’s already assigned, don’t worry and yes good choice on not filing an inquiry. It won’t do your case any good as it’s already assigned but could have cause problems.

Hope this will end soon....
