Our ROC NOA1 date was February 27th 2017 and we got the may 1st update.

It might have something to do with our locations, like I’m in California so my ROC will stay in California, if you are in South Dakota, let’s say, they might send it to Nebraska because it’s the closest office to your place (besides your local office), if that makes any sense. I have no idea,

I’m 100% guessing. My wife and I applied Feb 2017 for the ROC and still, the last update that we got was that our case was transferred to our local office (which we read in multiple places that it was a glitch in the system as we all got the same update). I’m also a N400 applicant but I applied April 20th and got biometrics done April 25th.

Just got this. I can’t recall if that means that I’m close to approval? Or it can stay in that status for months?

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Receipt Number: WACxxx

Application Type: I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On May 3, 2018, we transferred your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, Receipt Number WACxxx, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by June 2, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Email said that status is “initial review” but both websites are showing that “new office has jurisdiction” and it was updated today. I also had same message about case transfer on May 1st. No “initial review” online....<_<

Me too.

The email said Initial review but USCIS website states "case transferred to a new office". I think this means they just started working on our cases. I can't believe they are just beginning to work on our cases after 15 months.

Why every UCSIS update is soooo confusing and has no logical explanation?

No one Knows. What is sure is we all gonna get decisions soon since we all are approaching the 3rd year anniversary of our GC.

My 3 year anniversary was April 9th. And I also applied for n400 in March. Interesting...

I think you are absolutely right. Just had a talk with a very friendly tier 2 officer, he mentioned that the reason for all those transfers happening almost everyday to different locations is that it's not meant to make sense to us. All it means is that an aspect of the case was worked on and completed by uscis department, when they complete their work they update the system and it shows up on our end case transfer to a specific location. So i think that means approvals are round the corner, for at least most i hope by early next week

Just checked we have the same new status effective today saying another office has jurisdiction over our case. Maybe we'll all get approvals tomorrow. May the 4th be with us.
