Hubby had biometrics yesterday. Case status says they are actively reviewing his case myUSCIS says reviewing biometrics. And ROC bug number still says case received at local office as of March 5th. Also completion date went back a whole month to December 2019 from January 2020.

And the wait begins.  Expect an email once a week to say that your case is still under review and no updates. Unless of course you get a letter to say your case has been transferred to NBC, being a joint ROC/N400 filer.

Ok. I got a reply today for service request about transfer notice. The problem is that our mailman is really irresponsible and always misdeliver mail. This happens couple times a month. I’m tired to complain to his supervisor. Looks like doesn’t want to do anything about it because it keeps happening. So if USCIS mailed me something then it might have been delivered to anybody in our neighborhood.

And as you know not all people are going to return or deliver mail themselves if it’s not on their name.

Or or maybe I misunderstood their message? Maybe they are talking about ROC applicacation that was sent in February 2017 and not about recent transfer???

So so here their answer:

The status of this service request is:

On March 29, 2018, you notified USCIS that you did not receive the transfer notice that our records show was sent. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been resolved.

We are able to confirm that the California Service Center has received your case from another USCIS jurisdiction and it is pending consideration at this time. A transfer notice acknowledging this action was sent to the address on file, however we do not have the latitude to reprint transfer notices, which are automatically generated by our system. Please note the receipt notice you were sent at the time of initial filing remains valid for intended purposes.

Hello friends!

I just got an email regarding the ghost notice (the one from March 28th, that I knew didn't exist though I sent the inquiry anyway, lol).

Interesting enough, and completely by coincidence,  they did send me a printed notice about the Nebraska transfer, so they're assuming that's the letter I was missing.

Note that they do have a time frame to work on transferred cases, ha! (go Nebraska, go!).

Here's the message:

Hmmm, was your case transferred to either Nebraska or Texas?

I don’t even know if it was really transferred.  I filed in feb 2017 to CSC. On March 5th I got a notification (like mostly all of us here) saying that case was received at my local office (no information which office exactly). And that if I don’t receive anything in my mail by March 28th I should make an inquiry.  And that’s what I did. But here’s strange thing: they are saying that CSC received it from another jurisdiction... but I filed to CSC originally... I’m in California. So I’m confused.

Ok, don't panic!

The wording on those first "case transferred/received" was off, after a while we figured that alk it meant was that our cases were taken from the, let's say basement, and moved to an office, all within CSC.

I got those too.

Later on, on April 3, I got a different one, more specific, saying it was transferred to Nebraska. Not everybody got that one, though, so maybe yours is still in California.

Fingers crossed we'll see more approvals independent of the location.

Good luck!

Cheers!

I will only panic if USCIC refuses to approve my ROC or N400 :jest:they just need to be more specific when sending emails. They always confuse people with their processing, waiting time, ghost case statuses <_<and emails
