The USCIS website doesn't make any mention of Nebraska now doing I-751 applications:

The chart below shows which USCIS service centers currently process each type of form. This is subject to change, depending on USCIS service centers’ workload. Go to our Workload Transfer Updates page for updates.

No news on my case with regards to Nebraska.

However I will add that I do not carry my GC/passport/NOA letter around. I have a driver's license that expires in 2019. That should be good enough.

Did a case inquiry and they said the standard that the case is within processing timeline and if that wasn't crazy enough, they said that CSC is currently working on Sept. 2016.  What is so hard about looking at a file and the evidence and stamping approved? Takes about ten minutes.  The GC is for my hubby and he is more chill about this process than I am.  This is soooooo frustrating.  You would think they are working on world peace, or world hunger.  WHY? WHY? WHY?

We were finally able to get an appointment at our local Dallas office! Checked this morning at about 6 am. We received a letter yesterday stating that our case was also transferred to Nebraska.

Good job and good luck for your Mis-Infopass!

Nebraska doesn't usually process I-751 cases so hopefully they've set up a nice little section of staff that are sitting waiting to approve the I-751 cases as soon as they receive them. Lets hope it's approvals left, right and centre. Or, it'll be like the last case transfer messages at the end of Feb 2018, and diddly-squat will happen. I know where I'm putting my money and I'm not even a betting man! LOL.

It'd be great if we had a quick approval! But like you say it's anyone's guess. We just need that travel stamp since we'll be travelling come July. It would be funny though if we were approved from now until then.

For LPRs it's  the law to carry GC/letter or passport around or else you're risking a misdemeanor if stopped. But I know several who don't do it anyways because these items are easy to lose.
