It's been awhile since I've been on this thread. My daughter arrived a month ago and have been pretty busy with that. :)

We ended up filing for my N-400 a few weeks ago. They sent us a receipt pretty much immediately (we filed electronically). Then last week, just a few weeks after filing our N-400, we got a notification saying our Removal of Conditions/i751 status has been updated to initial review. Not sure how long from initial review to decision it'll take or if now that we filed for N-400 it'll just prolong the process. We're CSC and our local office for N-400 looks like a 10-12 month wait...

I'm excited to have filed for the N-400 though. It gives me some peace of mind that paperwork is ALMOST over.

Hope everyone has been keeping well! Good luck!

Haha, yes I suppose. We actually got the notification that the interview was scheduled last Friday April 30th, so you are pretty much right on!

Right so a month before. Yay. I reckon I shall hear around April 26th, you never know your ROC may already be under review as Lights has just written that their is under review, this is what I have been unsure about whether they wait for the joint interview or whether they sometimes adjudicate it before the N400 interview.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

A huge congratulations with your daughter!  It is promising that your ROC is under review. I don't think it delayed anything N400 in fact I would say it actually pushed them into action.  I wouldn't take much notice about the wait times for N400 Ive seen people who have had an estimated date of 19 months, however they have an interview lined up. Normally receive the interview letter a month before your 3rd anniversary on your conditional GC.

I hope you're right!! I'm going back on the pages but haven't seen the updated list. Any CSC approvals go through yet? :P

Hey you guys, so I‘ve been following this thread for a while. I applied in February of 2017 with Vermont (ROC). Never heard anything. Got my stamp last month. And then today I get home and wouldn‘t you know it I had my green card in the mail!!! No approval notice, no nothing. I checked my status online last night and it was the same old, one number saying case was received back in the good old day and the other number said it was transferred to my local office on March 4th. So random, I definitely did not expect this! So to everyone who has been waiting and been thinking „wth is going on“ go check your mail boxes! And Shell, thanks girl for all the funny and uplifting comments!!! I really hope everyone else here that is still waiting will get this surprise in the mail soon!!!

I think I have another theory (in addition to Shell’s theory)  regarding N400 with pending ROC. Looking at charts from couple previous months it looks like people who had their GC for more than 4-5

years are getting their naturalization interview scheduled faster then other filers who is using 3 year rule. <_< what do you think guys? Did anyone else see that? Or I’m mistaken?

I think and also said this, those that are not applying with the 3 year are people who have to wait 5 years or people who have had the card for over 3 years. The reason they don't wait though is not because it has anything to do with the rule but that its past the 3 year or 5 year anniversary, so they are not applying 90 days prior to that date. I hope you understand what I mean. For example if I applied in say June and 3rd year anniversary was May, I wouldnt be waiting for a month before the 3 year anniversary, so I would be scheduled for interview nearly straight away as I don't need to wait 2 months to be scheduled like I have to now as they cant send me an interview letter until a month/30 days before the 3rd year anniversary.

Congratulations!!  Whoop, whoop!   I love news like this. :)

I am not surprised you didnt get an approval letter or an update on your case, they do everything back to front!!   They will update your case, oh in about a week or so, if they can be bothered to be so inclined. Its really dependent on their coffee breaks! :}

True story, how dare I expect them to actually update the case while they are working on it....either way I‘m glad this waiting game is over. Not even going to bother with the citizenship process for now, I‘ve done enough waiting and checking for the next couple of years. Good luck to everyone!

Dont blame you!  I received my GC in the post, no update on my case until a week or so after I had received the card, didn't even up date to say approved. I guess they didn't want to give me the satisfaction of seeing it in black and white. :)  Enjoy your card, go celebrate this as its been a long time coming!

Oh I know hon, I was being sarcastic ;) none of us are at fault, we all sent in our paperwork and money in time. They apparently are way understaffed or something. Pretty sure I will go to sleep, hugging my card super tight all night, just to make sure I have it in the morning and its real and not a dream.

Yeah, I really hope you will hear something soon. As far what they do, to me it is a big mystery. We speculate and guess, while USCIS confuses us further. Cannot wait for all this to be over for all of us!

Wow, lots has changed. Life got in the way, and I wasn't able to keep up with the thread for a while.

Anyhow, my wife was scheduled for her N-400 interview here in our Boston office on May 4th. Guessing it will be a joint interview, since there is absolutely no progress on the removal of conditions front. As I mentioned before my wife got her passport stamped with an extension for 1 year (about 1 month ago).

Hi Camtor,

I am getting an N400 interview at Boston Office as yours on April 16th. Did you also get "the case transfer to local office" message on March 4th?

I contacted my senator last week and they just confirmed that my pending 751 is at Boston office. It's not at VSC as I thought. Hopefully it would be a joint interview. I will keep you update.

Good Luck!
