Yeah, well hopefully if I don't lose the new 10 year GC, they wont be getting another penny from me.  I would pay double the amount if they processed my applications in a timely manner.  My son who you all know is marrying in May to a Japanese girl, sent an application of to the Home Office to allow that marriage, it took 2 weeks to get an answer to say yes.   Two weeks.  I know they will need to apply for a visa once married I think the waiting time is around 3 weeks.  I also know my son's fiancee already has a working visa, it didn't take long to cross check and I think the amount they paid for this was zero. Obviously they will need to pay for the visa once they are married, but I would pay the £1000 or so or even double if I knew it would be done that quickly.

Shell I know UK does have same day processing for some cases with some extra fees. I spent 5 years there and went through that.

Oh wow really?  I know that you can do that with a passport and didn't realise you could do it with a visa too.  That's really interesting to know, must pass that on to my son if he is applicable.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

I remember my sister has to lift the conditions after 2 years in UK. She applied fast way and supported docs were so less too as compared to here. She got it in 3-4 days. You can check on UKBA for every type of application they have mentioned it if they allow fast processing.

We applied for ROC for my husband's green card on 2/16/2017. We are at the CSC office. The timeline is ridiculous. We live 9 hours away from USCIS local office- meaning time missed from work, hotel costs, travel costs to get a stamp in his passport- extension expires on 5/7/2018.

I would  encourage all of you to write to your senators. Although it's great to have this community to bounce ideas off of, I feel like nothing can change if we don't do something more. In my job, I work with work visas and have some relations with my states representatives. Both people I've spoken to agree that this is not right and is messing with people's lives. I'll let you know if they are able to inquire any useful information!

In the time we have been processing our case- I found out we were pregnant (day before papers sent in,) grew an entire human, and he is now 6 months old, but our lovely government can't get it together enough to send out a little plastic card.

:Dthat’s ridiculously funny! Wait for 2nd green card for almost 4 years and go get your passport stamped every year. And go to secondary every time you travel (and I’m pretty sure people travel once in a while, especially if you have your parents in your home country). I don’t know if I should laugh or cry in this case.

The only option is to apply for n400...

That's my question to all the politicians. I know there was a HUGE rise in N400's since the new presidential administration and a HUGE rise in DACA recipients, which is understandable with what is going on. However, I am sure the DACA filings have now slowed down, there are only so many to process and if I am correct no new applications allowed.  So in theory things should be calming down, but with the HUGE backlogs, well I feel that it's not going to be an easy fix and rather than saying, hey guys this is whats going on, they are trying to pacify the masses. However, the masses are feeling peeved and rightly so.

@shell20 you are so right, my dear. I wonder why CSC has this huge backlog compared to Vermont. It’s so frustrating.

The IO told me I wouldn’t be seeing my 10 year GC. I still have hope though...

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It’s always a delight for me to read what you think :)

The reason why VSC is ahead (they were behind) is you have too look at demographics. DACA recipients tend to live in Texas (CSC serve this area) and California (CSC also serve this area).  Hence why cases were transferred for 1129 or was it i1130, can't remember, but I know these were transferred from CSC and VSC, because they knew they had a major problem then. What I found strange is that there has been many ROC cases transferred recently to Texas, Nebraska, NBC, up from the warehouse to the office and some to field offices. What does that tell us? It tells us that they are in sheer panic and again not taking accountability.  Strange they haven't released the latest case transfers on their page under workload transfers. Why haven't they?  That is the question we have to ask. I would say they messed up and don't want us all to know, until they have it under control.

If you have filed ROC and N400 concurrently, or might do then yes I would say you probably won't.  I was told at biometrics that I would have to hand the card over shortly.  I said to my husband they want me to carry this 10 year GC everywhere I go but I don't want to lose it. He said the solution is simply, go get a copy of it via tattoo on your bum and if you are ever stopped you can say its with me 24/7.  Imagine that scenario, just a minute officer whilst I drop my panties! :)

That's not reality, it may be for overstretched offices, but my field office is at around 5 months. This is probably because I have known of one case that has taken that long, a complicated one. Wouldn't mind but trying to get an appointment at a field office is like extracting teeth.  They can't have it both ways!

Hooray for this post!!! Love, love, love it!  Yes, yes, yes. I would encourage all ROC filers who have not had their GC's and waiting over a year to vote with their feet and write with their hands to Senators!   I can't believe you have a baby, grew a human being inside you and still do not have your GC. I don't think the USCIS are funded much by the government, more like our fees that they put up when the urge takes them. Would very much like to see if the bosses get huge fat bonuses though!
