I agree with everything you just said, Shell. This is the way I think. But I wasn't sure if would be worthy or not (to send the inquiry). Like everybody else here, I am exhausted of this BS :(

I as you know believe in positive thinking, especially when it is done in the masses. I also believe there is something they are not telling us, just like politicians who withhold the truth most of the time. We are like hamsters on a wheel going about our daily routine, worrying about mundane or life changing things, not questioning the powers that be. If the masses clung together then that would force them into accountability, as these politicians or any organisation or nothing without the people they represent behind them!

There is one question I would love answering and would invite anyone from USCIS to actually give their side of things, why the heck have these processing times suddenly gone from 6 months to nearly 2 years?  What has caused this, again no accountability, no statement, nothing, nada. This actually makes my blood boil as we are their customers, whether they like that statement or not, we are the ones who pay their wages and keep this organisation going, not the government.  I feel that we should have answers and to blatantly dismiss us or our inquiries and unanswered questions is well frankly unacceptable and putting salt into an open wound!

So what can we do? We can speak with our voices and our feet, until they DO take notice and action!

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

Hello All, I posted this to the March forum too ...Please I need clarification.

My green card expired May 7,  2017 and I have been out of the country for a while but I want to come back to the US later today and I am so scared. Does anyone know if my extension increases my status by one year from the green card expiration or the day I received my extension letter.

N.B I would have come back earlier but for situations beyond my control.

The extension is from the card expiration date.

Yes, it is and you're still in status until your ROC application has a final decision. You might need to go to secondary as I did, but you should be OK as you have the letter.  Safe journey.

And they take dollars, they forgot that bit!  So, if they take dollars and are overwhelmed with processing, then hire new staff.  What is on their site? Oh yes, that's right, American jobs for American people. Problem solved! :)

That's my question to all the politicians. I know there was a HUGE rise in N400's since the new presidential administration and a HUGE rise in DACA recipients, which is understandable with what is going on. However, I am sure the DACA filings have now slowed down, there are only so many to process and if I am correct no new applications allowed.  So in theory things should be calming down, but with the HUGE backlogs, well I feel that it's not going to be an easy fix and rather than saying, hey guys this is whats going on, they are trying to pacify the masses. However, the masses are feeling peeved and rightly so.

Yeah, well hopefully if I don't lose the new 10 year GC, they wont be getting another penny from me.  I would pay double the amount if they processed my applications in a timely manner.  My son who you all know is marrying in May to a Japanese girl, sent an application of to the Home Office to allow that marriage, it took 2 weeks to get an answer to say yes.   Two weeks.  I know they will need to apply for a visa once married I think the waiting time is around 3 weeks.  I also know my son's fiancee already has a working visa, it didn't take long to cross check and I think the amount they paid for this was zero. Obviously they will need to pay for the visa once they are married, but I would pay the £1000 or so or even double if I knew it would be done that quickly.

The number of petitions sent to USCIS has drastically increased in the last 2 years.  This time last year, there were more than 1,000,000 USCIS petitions awaiting adjudication.  Since that time, the number of petitions sent each month has not significantly decreased.  Each and every petition must be scrutinized by HUMAN eyes....each and every one........one thing USCIS does to help is to transfer cases among service centers to balance their workload.  Is there a better way to process cases?  maybe....but short of establishing several more services centers, I don't think so.
