I have no idea as this is the first time I am doing something like it which I didn't want to do in the first place because I had received a notice for my initial i751 filed last year. But a mass inquiry will get them on their feet so i reckon i would join the masses in making that happen.

This is what I got back from them for my Inquiry.

Thank you for your inquiry.  We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending application or petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will review your case but the California Service Center is committed to processing this workload.  We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources.

In the interim, if your I-551 has expired and your I-797, Notice of Action, extending your conditional status for a 1-year period has expired, you may elect to create an appointment to attend a local USCIS Field Office. At your appointment, a USCIS Officer may stamp your unexpired foreign passport with an I-551 stamp with a 12-month expiration date. To create an appointment with a local field office, please refer to our website:

Love how they take ownership and deal with your outstanding petition............... NOT!!  SMH. Oh at least they are aware of the difficulties they are putting everyone through. I think someone at the top needs to be accountable for this hot MESS!  I feel sorry for all petitioners and even the staff who have to put up with all the inquiries and are powerless to help.  I feel they should not have been allowed to put their fees up a year ago if their service is not reflecting those hikes. If the rise was to employ more staff than that would be understandable, but to actually go backwards with processing times, after a fee increase is not acceptable whichever way we look at it!  OK I am off my podium now!

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

This just goes to show that applying for our N-400 is the absolute perfect decision. As the N-400 will be processed despite the delays in the i-751 adjudication. So all hopes on N-400 now for a potential interview notice coming in the mail very soon for all of us.

Yes I do think you should submit the inquiry if they have said that you will hear by the 28th March. The reason I say this is that if there is a mass inquiry then someone will have to sit up and take notice. Right now I feel that although they say they are not a business model they are. It is a money making machine. I know there is also security issues and such, I get that. However, sensible processing times should still be maintained and I feel they using that as an excuse for their poor service.

I also feel the one for them to take accountability is if there was a mass inquiry be it through a senator or through asking through their online service.   I just feel its a cop out and no-one wants to take ownership nor find a solution.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Well you can try and see what happens. Worst case scenario is getting that same reply as the previous post and if you're lucky you'll get approval or RFE notice.

Derwood said its a fortnightly, two weekly automatic update. Reading through the lines it seems they did something to your case on March 1st, probably some kind of transfer, be it from the warehouse to the office, to a field office, to another service centre or such. Might even be that they are mailing you something, but I am guessing they did something with your petition on March 1st.

I agree with everything you just said, Shell. This is the way I think. But I wasn't sure if would be worthy or not (to send the inquiry). Like everybody else here, I am exhausted of this BS :(
