I also noticed in the VJ forums that everyone said that online filing was faster, but I like to have a paper trail. The field of work I am going into has made me paranoid in the sense that everything needs to be on paper, especially with immigration matters. LOL

Even when you file by paper it gets converted to an electronic file.

So on April 2nd we have an infopass to get the stamp. And on April 12th we have the Biometrics. On the Biometrics appointment notice it says to bring GC. But from what I heard when you get the stamp sometimes they take the card. Will they be satisfied with their own stamp instead of GC?

Lollzzz eventually most of the things will be digital and the speed of processing also depends on the field office. You can mail them your application but electronic filing is pretty convenient and it saves all of your documents online for your record, regards.

Everything you put in the online application has to be scanned by you before it is submitted. So if you want a paper trail you could just make hard copies of the documents and save them.

I sent in a case inquiry and selected that I did not receive a notice by mail. What do I have to lose at this point?

Good as the only way for them to actually listen is to do a mass inquiry, perhaps then they will understand the sheer frustration of it all. Changing the processing times has stopped people in their tracks from asking what the heck has happened to their files and approvals.  Good luck and remember in a couple of days its another month and nearer to everyones approval!
