I-751 February 2017 Filers, Part II

February 2017 I-751 filer. I have received several emails from USCIS from yesterday to this morning about 4 in total Just like @Derwood did the last time. However, the contents of the email is standard "We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates".

If we remember, there was an influx of "Case transferred to Local Office" sometime end of February and early March for a lot of us in which it says by March 28 if we did not hear from them we should make an inquiry.

Having a second thought about that now; I am taking it with a pinch of salt and not planning to send them any inquiry as looking at the original application we had already received the NOAs and we had not send anything when these files were moved so I believe it will not make sense making an inquiry come March 28th from the February/March case changes as it is not a new petition that requires NOA to be sent.

If anyone of us thinks the same or received the same letter that they should send an inquiry by the 27/28 can give their updates if any.

Is this still the I- 751 Feb 2017 filler forum or did you switched to N-400? Not everybody filled a combo... it's very confusing now. Are the latest comments in regards to I-751 or N-400?

Yes it is the ROC feb fillers, however nowadays if people can are able they find they have to file N400 concurrently, due to the extensive wait times. Didn't use  to be that way, but I think we will see more and more of it for a few months yet. So unfortunately at times these topics become integrated. Perhaps if this is the thing to come we might need a new forum of N400/ROC combined? Or perhaps we should have one for the 2nd reference number that brings up all these case transfers and such with ROC?

BTW if some I-751 fillers are interested... I went to get my stamp. Was not a problem at all. I've asked the officer if he could check on my case, since he was very nice and seemed to be helpful.

He didn't see any movement on my case since 2017. Also no transfer to local office.

He said that unfortunately California will take at least another 6 months.

Of course we are interested! As for the officer at your local office to be fair I am not sure they know absolutely everything or can keep up with all the changes going on. I spoke to an officer when I went for my biometrics last week and they didn't even know the processing times had completely changed.  I would be more inclined to look at your 2nd reference number to see what's going on. If it says transferred then its most likely not even still at California.

I agree with the previous post ! This is supposed to be i751 Forum , not N400.

nor i751/N400.

To be fair with these latest updates and transfers and that other number these topics have become tangled together at times and its impossible to answer some ROC questions without referencing N400 too.  If this is to come then perhaps we need a joint filing thread, although then everyone will popping from one forum to another. Its not right, its not fair for all ROC filers that aren't doing N400, but how can we discuss all these transfers  that are going to different centres, field officers and just concentrate on ROC. Had these 2nd numbers not been suddenly appeared then I doubt other than someone saying should I apply for N400 so my ROC is quicker, it would be so integrated.  It sucks i know. :(

Good day everyone,

wife and I went yesterday for a Infopass. her letter will expire until May 2018. The officer told her that she need to wait 15 days before expiration. They are not allowed to stamp a passport berfore the 15 days window.

Also he said that our case will be review and approved maybe in Feb. 2019. They are doing Feb.2016 Now.

by the way the officer was very very mean.

any who seems like will be around for a good while.

Good morning Guys, well nearly afternoon already.   I cant believe how quickly March has gone, talk about March on.  Soon be April and you all know what that means a month step closer to your GC's.   I am not sure about tomorrow, but I think you should all send in a mass case inquiry for the ones who received if you havent heard from us by the 28th.  This month has seen a lot of movement with cases flying all over the country, to be honest with all these numbers I have found it hard to keep up.  Some cases have gone to Texas, some to Nebraska, some to field offices and some to NBC. Its movement for most. Hopefully now the files are all settled in to their places and ready to be approved. I think we will find that April is FULL of news with approvals, some RFE's and perhaps a couple of interviews but mainly approvals!  Any way heres wishing there is plenty of green dust for you all! :)

That is a lot of twaddle. Sorry Feb 2016 what planet are they on?  There is no need to be mean and yes my office says 14 days before not 15 days, but some offices stamp the passport a month or so before. I guess this officer got out of the wrong side of the bed. and took their frustrations out on you. I am sorry you had to go through that. :(

You will hear way before that date. Sounds like they were just being nasty for the sake of it. I honestly don't know what they could possibly get out of that?  Positive thinking going forward, use your 2nd receipt number the one I can't use and that might give you more of an accurate guide to whats happening with your file. :)

There are two, one from your N0A1, one from your biometrics. We all used our biometrics number initially, however a month or so a go, the N0A1 became active and everyone was getting weird messages, like case transferred etc. Use the N0A1 and see what it says.

I also noticed in the VJ forums that everyone said that online filing was faster, but I like to have a paper trail. The field of work I am going into has made me paranoid in the sense that everything needs to be on paper, especially with immigration matters. LOL
