Good afternoon folks, well on a different forum with regard to ROC filing there is a lot going on, people getting notifications, probably with that weird number, others cases have been transferred to Texas and such.  Here we have one transferred to Texas another to a field office. @Derwood  still a bug/glitch?!

News from my part, well I looked at inform delivery today, nothing from USCIS. Went to get my mail and there was my GC. No update on my status still says case received. No text, no email, nada. So Im sat here looking at it wondering where all the pom and ceremony went!  Oh come on USCIS you can hold a better GC party than that, its a tad disappointing!  At least I can take it to my bio appointment on Thursday, but I am not going to be the guardian of it, not a chance. It has to be copied for my N400 application, then its got to be taken to the bio appointment and i don't want to lose the third card, its cost me way too much. If I had my way it would be a in a vault, locked away with cobwebs forming. Oh wait thats our files! :)

Any way Guys may the Green (Pinkish) Dust be with you today. I am looking forward to your updates and approvals! :)

Congratulations Shell! You deserve it. I’m sure you spent the whole day staring at your greeny. I confess I’ll do the same when I get mine lol anyway, party time!

In reality it may have come out of the cobweb invested storage unit and worked its way up to Vermont centre to be processed, however if you are a Feb filer time to do a service request and I wouldnt pay much credence to what your local office say, as its not always correct, as I found out.

Thank you so much

actually the officer sounded not really certain to me

Do you personally have any experience traveling with a stamp in your passport? or do you know any one having that experience? I wonder if airlines know what that is since i do not have my green card any more. USCIS stayed with it

Yes, I do have several experiences of travelling with the stamp. Normally get secondary, some airline reps know the stamp, some are new and don't but their supervisor steps in and says fine. If they type the number from your stamp its the same as the GC and then they will realise you are good to go. If they are a bit thick just ask to speak to their supervisor.

Hey Shell,

We were filing the N400 and had trouble figuring this one out. The question about travel dates, do we enter the exact date or do we add the next day since I read somewhere on here that the actual date of travel is still considered as being in US only. Any insight please? Thanks Shell and/or any Vj members!!

As gc gc said if you go there it will give you all your dates in and out of America, then if you put these dates into the N400 it will calculate your exact times out of the country, plus it will also sort out the next day and such for you, so you don't have to do anything other than print out your dates from the i 94 website then put them into the N400 application and everything is done for you, its quite amazing. I was impressed and thats saying something! :)

Absolutely and the reason why is that if you leave it, it will just add to the time you wait as they will add on time from the day you apply for waiting for the N400. In fact the cases I have seen with ROC/N400 combined have helped the ROC application. Can't speak for all cases, but if I was you I would.

Thanks for the response Shell . Also once you click submit, can you add documents later? Also did you add your Birth Certificate to the lot?

Absolutely you can, in fact I submitted it on 28 Feb and today I added more documents and will add my tax later, probably next week.

I'm also thinking about applying for the N-400 if I don't receive anything by next month. I become eligible April 10. My question is: When they do the so-called combined interview is it like a naturalization interview or is it like a green card interview with my spouse?

It's really amazing. Although the I-94 was meant for nonimmigrants who want to obtain their travel information, somehow it works for greeny holders too. USCIS should make a feature like that available on their website where you could obtain your entry/exit information. Looks like CBP is more efficient on that :jest:
