Applied for I751 on February 2017, N400 April 2018. I called and sent case inquiry because my I751 was out of processing time, so they answered me and said that both applications will be adjucated in the same time and I'm waiting again!!!

We have the same timeline. I got notice of transfer on December 21.

Almost same for me too. I-751 in Feb 2017 (CSC),

N-400 in April 2018. Status still says 16 months more (I think for Dallas)

Got case transfer letter in December 2018

Got I-551 infopass stamp in January 2019 (few days ago), officer told me that I might have to get another year or stamp before you finally be called in for probably a combo interview. I hope it doesn't linger on for that long.

My husband and I are getting tired of waiting. We wanted to go to Europe for Christmas but with my current citizenship I would need a lot of visas and we were confident we would have made progress but didn’t. We love to travel. This sucks. :(

Don’t let that discourage you. I am a Vietnamese passport holder. I went to Europe to study abroad for 3 months. The visa process is very easy. I got my visa in 2 days

Hey guys, I had just my combo interview yesterday and wanted to share with you my experience!

We applied for the ROC in February 2017 (like y'all) and I applied for the N-400 in April 2018.

The officer couldn’t make a decision on the spot because of my removal of conditions. Apparently they need to approve that first to be able to approve the N-400.

I went with my wife and he asked my wife to come into the room with me. He said that he would start with the ROC interview, see how it goes and go from there so first he went through the ROC asking the same type of questions that we got asked when we first applied for my GC.

We asked about the proposal, who went to the wedding, if we had pictures to show, what kind of evidence we had to support our marriage, where in the house do we live, if the room has a bathroom in it, if we had kids, how many pets we have, their names, asked me if I knew my wife’s phone number, her date of birth and so on.

After asking about our lives together he asked my wife to go wait outside so he could start the N-400 interview so she did. On her way out, he asked her if we drove together and what kind of cars we have.

When he came back he said that our case looked good and that he was happy with it.

I passed all the tests and after signing some papers, I got a paper saying that they couldn’t make a decision at the moment but that I should get something in the mail soon and that they will have to stop the card production step and, after that, get me an oath date.

Right before I left he asked me if we drove together and what kind of car we have. I, of course, answered correctly so my info matched what my wife had said outside.

  - On my way back home from the interview, around 3pm, I got an update saying that I was in line for oath ceremony.

  - Around 9pm I got another update saying “Card in Production” for the ROC

  - 8am today I got another update saying that they scheduled my oath ceremony. Now I’m just waiting for the oath ceremony letter to pop up online.

All that happened in 17 hours which is awesome! Super excited here, haha!

Can I change my last name to my husband's first name before filing I- 751. Note: Adopt husband's first name, because his last name has some terrible meaning, and we both agreed that our future kids will also use his first name.

Today we were notified of the interview appointment for naturalization that would take place on Feb 28. Interestingly enough, the login online info still shows it might take until April 2019 as an estimate, so for our situation it was roughly a year for the notice in combination with the I-751. Of course, I don't know the status of the ROC for the I-751, so we're hoping that it's a combo interview without issues.

Congrats that sounds extreame to me lol. We married in court with only three witnesses. Not on good terms with my family and all of friends were busy. We didn't have pictures in the wedding as they didn't allow us to take pictures in a courtroom. We have a couple pics outside the courtroom right after the wedding. . We are in street clothes though. I hope we don't get a IO like yours.lol
