Hello,

My case has been approved and I just got my green card. Phew! We didn't hear back for more than a month after submitting RFE, and that was really stressful because my 18-month extension was coming up. Does it seem like there are a lot more RFEs this time around?

Thank you so much for the support of this forum. And all the best to everyone!

Sorry about your divorce. Yeah, you have to wait five years if you are no longer married. The exception is only if you are married to a US citizen.

If you are divorced, you are no longer married to the US Citizen who filed for you which means you cannot apply for citizenship after three years. You have to wait for five.

To qualify, you must have lived in the U.S. continuously for the three years immediately preceding the date you file Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. You must be married to a citizen the entire time; and your spouse must have been a U.S. citizen for the entire time.

Forgot to update: I got approved and received my GC in the mail on 09/20.

Renewed an expired passport from my home country in NYC and making a trip out for the first time on a fresh passport with no stamps or visas. Just the 10yr GC.

All the best for those still in limbo. Feel like the home stretch.
