Hi,

My wife and I just entered the US on a K1 visa a few days ago.  The CBP did not provide us with the I-94 and as i was reading the instruction for filing the AOS, they asked for a copy of that.  Is the I-94 needed and how do I obtain it to file my AOS status?  Please help.

It's weird but when I went through CBP, it's just they conducted another interview by the CBP agent.  Asking questions like how we met, where she'll be living, and a few more questions.  He was about to stamp the paperwork and then he proceeded to ask a few more questions.  Then he crossed out the info on the Visa stickered to my Fiance's Visa and put in the expiration date (90 days) in writing.  He said he needs to keep all the paperwork provided to us by the US Consulate in VN.  He didn't give me any papeworks or anything.  Should it be a reason for concerns?

This happens to everyone (more or less). The immigration officer at the airport still has the right to deny entry to a foreign citizen. They ask questions just like they would if you were arriving in the US for a vacation on an ESTA, for work on another visa or on a visitors visa. Yes, they make sure the expiry date is clear so there is no confusion for the K1 holder. You don't need any paperwork when you enter. As long as you have that entry stamp on the passport with visa and expiry date you are good.

As others have said, the I-94 is obtained online, they don't give out paper copies anymore. Just google 'get I-94' it will come right up.

You don't receive anything but a stamp in your passport.

OP, google "i-94" and click on the first link that shows up.

Wait couple day ,then go to this

https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home

Fill some information, then print out..

Hey guys..I've waited until today (wife entry March 11th) to get electronic copy of the I-94.  I clicked on the link and filled out the information but it's the same status "there's no record found of traveler".  There's another tab that says "View Travel History" and when i filled out the information, it does have the date, passport # and issuing country there.  But cannot obtain the I-94 because of no record.

Is there another way to get it or do I need this I-94 to file for the AOS.  I do have the entry stamped on her passport next to her visa and the travel history record but i'm not sure if it's enough or not.

It's the travel history you need, just print the info you see there. That's the only i-94 that exists, so I'm not sure what you're waiting for.

Bringing up old thread instead of starting a new one, since this is the current situation.

Does printing the travel history have the same legal affect that having an actual I-94?  There are documents that request a copy of the I-94.  Do I just provide a printout of the history?

Yup, that's the only i-94 you'll ever have. They don't provide any paper forms anymore and haven't done so for years, it's all just online and you print from there.
