I 130 specificquestion queries

Hi Everyone,

Hope all are doing well.

We are filling our I- 130 and have a couple of queries about specific questions -

We are in Myanmar and will be sending in to the Chicago Lockbox

10a - Mailing Address

Care of name - we are putting the office address of my in-laws as they get all their mail here. We are putting that since mail is unreliable here in Myanmar. Do  I need to put the name of the in laws in care of name?

12a - Physical Address (Petitioner)

It asks for street number and name - but our address also have the name of the apartment complex we are living in - would that name go in the additional information sheet at the back? and in this place we just write the street name?

12a - Beneficiary - address in the US

I mentioned above the the mailing address of my in laws is their office address. But this question asks for where the beneficiary intends to live - I will put down the home address of my in-laws. That wouldn’t pose a problem i hope?

25a - Information about Beneficiarys family

Person 1 would be my wife, the petitioner correct? The reason I ask is there is already a question 21a where they ask about the Beneficiary’s Spouse

Person 2 and 3 - will be N/A

62 a - Beneficiary will not apply for status of adjustment but will apply for an immigrant visa abroad at the US Embassy/Consulate

This is where i ll mention Yangon, Myanmar right? The reason I ask, I read some post where people said put it as N/A (its common sensical i know, but wanted to make sure we get it right)

Let us know in case you have the answers or we might have got any of the above wrong.

Have a good day everyone.

Cheers

EmMo

10a - You probably should put their names in the "In Care of" part, because you're not on the mailbox and you know how the post office can be. So yes.

12a - 12b has a space for apartment number and block number and all that.

12a (2) - Where do you guys intend to live in the US? That's what they're asking. In the next step (The NVC step), they will ask you to prove domicile in the US. That means having a place to stay to prove you intend to go back to the US to reside. So that's what they're asking for.

25a - Yes, the spouse and any children if they exist.

62a - That's where you put the embassy that you want to get all this stuff done at. So, since you live in Myanmar, that's the one you want to put.

You're doing just fine! I know it's stressful. :D

You have the right idea on everything.  Use the business name or person's name as the in care of.  Read carefully, interpret literally, and answer accurately.
